Located right next to the harbor, Fathoms Bar & Grille has become an integral part of New Bedford's diverse collection of eateries. Known for its rich culture and historical fishing industry, New Bedford sets the stage for Fathoms Bar & Grille to be the p
We have always had good meals at Fathoms. We take a disabled friend there on a regular basis. The handicap accessability is excellent! My husband and our friend love the Fish and Chips with the beer batter. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Served with fries and fresh tasting cole slaw. Last night I had the broiled scallops and scrod caserole. While it was cooked just right I felt it could have used a few more scallops, it was mostly peices of scrod, I also thought the mixed vegetables were nondescript, boring and overcooked. But, over all it is good value for drinks, food, and great service.

Great place for dinner or just for drinks , lots of options from apps, sandwiches or more. Seafood, steak, pasta and never any issues to substitute your sides. Drinks are great no skimping on those. For those late nights , apps are half price during selected hours. Service in wonderful we are regulars who visit often.
I planned a bereavement breakfast here for a family member that passed away. I live out of state, but grew up in the area. I knew that I could count on Century House's reliability in good food and service. As I planned the breakfast, all on the phone I spoke with (many family owners) were helpful and courteous. The menu is online with prices and there were no surprises when we paid. Service and food were great and they put a flag in the room as requested. I highly recommend Century House!

Just your average breakfast place... nothing special... it does have a bit of a '40s feel to it... maybe because it hasn't been updated since then. Locals, pretty much. There are much better breakfast places to be found in Acushnet (and Fairhaven). If I could have rated them a 2-1/2, I would have. Been there for breakfast and lunch, usually when one of my go-to places is closed for vacation.

Had lunch with my wife there a few days ago and wasn't to pleased with the sitting arrangements. The food was good but the atmosphere stinks.

A small, lovely restaurant - perfect for a meal after spending the day on the waterfront. A casual but inviting atmosphere. The menu is simple and delicious. The service is fantastic. They have terrific pizzas and the seafood dishes are great! Even though the menu doesn't list gluten-free meals, a chat with our server revealed several options that were delicious. We were there on a weekend afternoon and found plenty of parking.

Visited on a Saturday about 6PM. Just beat the crowds. Initially seated upstairs in direct blinding sunlight. Moved.Room is somewhat noisy, but ok.Attentive, pleasant service (although one server had a curious sense of humor).Burger was thick, juicy, not so big. Fries were thin cut, a tad dry, salty.Salad was well received.

We went to Captain's Place to celebrate our best friends anniversary and we had the best time. Joe the owner of the restaurant was there and was so entertaining, friendly and an ace at keeping the restaurant going smoothly and customers happy. The food was fabulous and so very tasty. We even had fun with the customers that sat next us. We will be back!!

Small cozy place on side street. Parking is free, but can be a problem @ busy times. (over flow generally uses the church lot near by). Can eat @ bar as well as sit down tables. Mostly American fare, but Italian and Portuguese also. I had a small garden salad that was nice and fresh. My meal was bourbon glazed salmon that was delicious and cooked perfect! It came with fresh green beans and real mashed potatoes! My wife had the clam cake appitiser and said they were fine, but not as good as hers. We shared a blueberry pie and ice cream for desert. it was very good! Service was excellent.
