Great food and atmosphere. This place is located right downtown near the Principal Plaza (Right across from Bus Terminal, Taxi Stand and Pepe's Store). There is a very good breakfast and lunch buffet that I was told that people drive from neighboring towns to eat at the buffet. It 130$ MX and had lots of great food on it. I met the owner of the place who is super nice and a great cook. Definitely add this to your list of places to eat in Mascota.

Nice, friendly service. Mixture of Mexican and Italian food. We had pizza, which was very tasty. The lemonade was great. They also serve beer and wine. Part of the restaurant is a bakery, but we were too full to indulge.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Mascota. The food is beautifully presented and very tasty. One of my favorites is the lasagna. Every salad is a work of art and they also have very good bread for sandwiches and at the table with olive oil. This also one of the few places in Mascota to get a good dry red wine.

We had a wonderful meal here at this open air restaurant next to the World's Largest Molcajete (the traditional grinding bowl and pestle used for grinding spices and corn in Mexican cuisine). The food and service were excellent. I had a wonderful bowl filled with vegetables and chicken and shrimp. The view of the lake is very peaceful. Its located a few miles from Mascota, but the road is relatively well marked. If you get confused, ask anybody "Dónde está la presa?" Where is the reservoir/lake? Everyone is really nice in Mascota so I know they will be glad to help you.

There are at lest two in Mascota. There is a second one on the Plaza Principal on the corner of Juan Diaz de Sandi and Independncia. Google Maps shows as Bar Zone, but as of March 2016 it's Calle Ancha. It's a nice spot with windows that open to the Plaza. It nicely decorated and cute funky modern lights and decorations. I had a excellent Shrimp Burger. They also had great oven fries served with it. There was a good selection of beers too.

Every time I have eaten here, I have left happy. This time I had Pescado Dorado and, as usual, it was great. Everyone else in my party, including kids, loved the place, the food and the great service. Restroom, too, was perfectly clean.

Settled in the central courtyard of a sixteen-century hacienda in downtown Mascota, surrounded by a garden with an adobe pizza oven, La Tavola features a unique selection of Mexican and Vegan specialties, classic thin crust pizza, gluten-free available, mostly with homemade ingredients, a healthy fresh-juice bar, flavorful fermented drinks, selected to improve integral health, detox.
Itacate is a hidden gem of a restaurant in the boutique hotel, Santa Lucia. Marco the chef, a fourth generation restaurateur, hails from Venice, Italy, and is in the process of moving the menu in a more Italian direction. We had a special, not on the menu, of tender beef stewed in a flavorful sauce and served with polenta. This was preceded by ensalada mista, one of the most beautiful salads I have ever been served, and featuring greens and herbs from the kitchen's organic garden. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was not yet ready, but we can't wait to return and try it.
