Reviews on Bar food in St. Michaels, Maryland, United States. Calling itself "The Heart & Soul of the Chesapeake Bay," the town of Saint Michaels, Maryland retains the look and feel of a 19th century seaport. Walk on red brick sidewalks past the Victorian homes and boutique shops of the historic district, or head down to the pier in search of famously fresh seafood. The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum preserves the history of Saint Michaels, with restored examples of "bugeyes" and "skipjacks," unique boats developed by the fisherman of Chesapeake Bay.

Now open! Serving the most authentic Eastern Shore cuisine with the most panoramic view of the historic St. Michaels harbor.
For many years we welcomed summer by making the pilgrimage to Tilghman Island to have dinner al fresco at Harrison's. The warmth, the water, the boats, the food, the modest ambience all reminded us that summer had arrived. We were ambivalent when the restaurant and inn closed, and the restaurant tried to reopen in St. Michaels in a location so despicable that even Amazon would fail if it opened there.Harbor Lights has the tradition of being a good restaurant, with outstanding views of the Miles River, the harbor and the marina. We went with friends for dinner at 6 PM on a warm summer day.The restaurant indoors accommodates about 65-70 guests and is rather formal and elegant. We have had dinner there on New Year's Eve and been very satisfied with the food and the service. The outside deck, where we asked to be seated, is rather bare and totally undecorated, which may be a disappointment to some patrons. The sun was hot and almost searing. By 7 PM, it was quite tolerable. Service was pleasant, but slow. Being the middle of the week, the restaurant may not have been expecting many diners, and had only a skeleton crew on duty.We were happy with our dinner. The rockfish with crab Imperial is always a favorite. The fried shrimp was also very nice and tasty. The fried chicken looked juicy and comforting. Mashed potatoes and stewed tomatoes, as always, scrumptious. No lima beans this time, sorry! The Smith Island cake for dessert was tempting, yet we passed.Nice dinner with wine or beer, taxes and gratuity, about $50 per guest.Observations, a few, Something could be done with the deck, perhaps some lights, a flower vase on the tables, something that will distinguish it from a set from Mysteries of the Abandoned. We got the impression that our waitress was serving several tables simultaneously, beyond anyone's physical capacity. "Hiring more staff" is not that simple. Harrison's at Harbor Lights is not what the original Harrison's on Tilghman Island used to be, and maybe it should not. It certainly has great potential with the water views, the good food and the spacious deck. A few details, here and there, perhaps...We will be back, for sure. Maybe we will go a little later and the sun will be less punishing. Maybe lima beans will be served. Maybe ⦠we will have Smith Island cake after all.

We have been coming to the Crab Claw for almost 30 years. The Bernie's Delight is my favorite and never disappoints. My husband loves the crab cakes. Check out the menu...you will definitely find something awesome!! A 100% do over.

And, I'll wager you they are having a fine conversation in this pub.The pint of Smithwicks was fresh and the select temperature for a sultry August afternoon. Maryland crab soup, corned beef, marbled rye and wonderful battered fries rounded up this late summer lunch. Our server, Ashley, was unique. Not only proficient in her craft, but a delightful conversationalist. How's that? My dining co-conspirator and I had last stopped by St. Michaels well over ten years ago. Ashley filled us in on all the things that locally transpired, since we were amazed by the expansion of the town. This friendly gossip is an extra benefit for any pub. I'll add Blackthorn's to that increasing list of publick houses to which I might someday return.

Located on the dock overlooking the beautiful St.Michaels Harbor. Dog friendly & easy going;) Support Local!
The food was mostly very good - the gazpacho was perfect and the peel and eat shrimp were a big hit, as was the edamame. The Beyond Burger was a great option but a bit over cooked. Nice staff. Great to sit outside on the water. And we went two nights and had great live music both nights! We'll be back again!

Food was some of the most bland food Iâve ever had in my life. Just incredibly lazy and generally bad. Homefries had no seasoning whatsoever, eggs/breakfast burrito was completely bland, not a touch of flavor to be found. Not to mention how overpriced this place is.

9000 square foot restaurant and bar overlooking the Miles River. Live entertainment weekly. Tiered seating allows excellent view of the water. Upstairs lounge available for private parties with the best view in St. Michaels.
Enjoyed our traditional Maryland crabcake At one of our fav restaurants in St. Michaels. Located off Talbot Street overlooking Dogwood Harbour, standing on the same footprint as the Towndock. Reinvented now as an oyster bar...this night I found the service slow and was disappointed in not being able to enjoy a Pimmâs Cup....However the crab cakes were outstanding as our salads. We finished with the house key lime pie! Like being in the Florida Keys! The view is one of the best on the water!Wheelchair accessible with lunch and dinner. Does take reservations. And. ample parking!

Just had a below average meal. Soup way too salty, had to send it back. Caesar salad had no dressing just a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. The grilled shrimp were way over cooked. Server was nice.
