My girlfriends and I went after church one of their favorite spots. I never been, but decided to go any way. We all ordered hibachi, drinks, plus sushi which was excellent. Food was 18% gratuity because we had five people. Our bills all ranged from $58+ and we all paid separate. Food was great but expected the chef to wow us and he didn't.
Stopped in for a quick dinner. We have been here many times before. Everything is prepared to order and is done quickly. Their bento boxes are excellent and the fusion sushi roll we got was marvelous. You can take out or eat in. This is not high end dining. But for fast and tasty Japanese this place is awesome!! Highly recommend!!

We were impressed when we walked in the front door. There are black lights in the areaway between the front door and the door to the dining room. Once inside the various colors hit you. It is more like a fancy nite club. Very Impressive lighting and décor. We went on a Sunday afternoon at 2:30 pm. There were only 2 parties seated. so we had our choice of tables. We chose a booth with the lite table. Our server Robert was very good. We had the happy hour Maui roll ($13), Flying roll ($12), Chicken Satay ($6) and grilled calamari ($7). The rolls were excellent the Maui had crab, eel & tuna; the Flying roll had Salmon & Tuna. The Chicken was a little overcooked but still good; The Calamari was tender with lots of tasty sauce, would have been great over rice! We will return.
I spotted this restaurant while traveling south on Route 3 headed for an SCA event. I found it on the way back. It is located at the intersection of Route 3 and Route 424 across Route 3 from the Giant Food Store in the Crofton Princess Shopping Center. Currently, the first entrance to the shopping center is blocked by construction equipment. The Kodo is located on the level facing Route 3. I ordered a couple of sushi rolls at the sushi bar. The food was very good. The rolls had the proper amount of rice, in other words, not mostly rice and a little fish, quite the opposite. Very good. The iced tea was actually oriental tea, not orange pekoe. The restaurant is setup primarily for Habachi but does have a nice sushi bar with a couple of big screen TVs, muted. Service was good and efficient.

I came here with a group of 20 and all of our orders were wrong the manager refused to fix the issue or refund anyone and got belligerent with anyone who spoke up about being charged for food they didnât receive

Kodo is the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday. We always go with a group of friends and are always entertained by the chef. They are constantly getting you involved and are very upbeat. This is one of the best hibachi places in my book. It's never busy and you always get sat right away. The sushi is perfection and they make the best drinks. I recently went on a Thursday night and they offer 30% discount on Hibachi which is a pretty good deal. I will definitely continue to dine at this establishment.

I would think of the area as Crofton, not Gambrills. Adjacent suburbs
My husband and I love this place. Every time we go, their food is fresh and flavorful! Today I got the yaki udon and my husband got the udon tempura. Both were absolutely delicious. We finished both of our plates! Service is friendly and attentive. The ambiance is relaxing and romantic.
