Gambrills refers to two neighboring places in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, in the Baltimore metro area: the unincorporated community of Gambrills, and the Gambrills census-designated place (CDP). The original community of Gambrills is now part of the Odenton CDP, while the Gambrills CDP lies to the northeast of the original community. The area was named for Augustine Gambrill, plantation owner. The population of the CDP was 2,800 at the 2010 census, up from 1,759 in 2000. Gambrills is served by MARC, the Maryland commuter rail service. There is a busy MARC station in the neighboring town of Odenton, with regular rail service to Baltimore and Washington, DC.

Royal Kabab

Part of a BP gas station and a Subway sandwich shop.

Royal Kabab is certainly fantastic if you are expecting gas station food at a gas station. If you are expecting top quality indian food, well…temper your expectations. While it is good, the lunch buffet looks a bit warmed up like leftovers. If you wait for it to be cooked fresh, it's worth the wait. I found the food to be relatively tasteless and certainly geared to the Maryland mild tastebuds. With all that being said, if you want to eat good Indian food at a gas station, this is your place.

M&M Restaurant

1/17/2019, 1:11 PM, Table #42, Server: Bernice. New place at the Complex that replaced the old Bob Evans Restaurant. Wife and I out looking for some Mid-East fare and decided to try M & M. Very bright inside, same old booths, but different decor. Seated right away as just a few tables with customers. Bernice to table with welcoming smiles and full of info. We had several questions about menu items which she quickly answered...very knowledgeable. Since it advertises a fresh tea and coffee bar, decided to try a nice fresh Iced Tea (although our bill listed it as Pepsi)..was very good. Menu is one page for food and another for the multitude of coffees and teas available. We ordered 3 different platters to get a good sampling. The meal started off with two huge salads with a very tasty homemade dressing. The entrees followed, they were Hummus (3 different kinds), Chicken Suqaar, and Lamb Kabob. Hummus made fresh and tasty with pita slices. Chicken Suqaar delicious and a bit like Fajitas. Lamb Kabob had two skewers of lamb, veggies and a large pile of basmati rice. The rice was cooked with a pickling spice that contained a lot of pithy, hard spices that I had to pick out as did not want to break a tooth. After gleaning the rice it was very tasty. Bernice very attentive and quick to refill glasses or answer additional questions. Too much food for the both of us so took almost half the food home. Too full for dessert. Total came to $44.85 which seems like a lot but each huge meal was only $11-$14 and a couple could easily eat for two under $25. We will be back again.

My husband and I had lunch for the first time at Prince Kabob, after seeing a flyer for it at the Indo-Pakistani Market several doors down. OMG!!! Unbelievable! We each had 4 appetizers, and that was it! They were the 1st 4 appetizers on the menu, and they were spectacular!’ Next time we go (which will be very soon), we will try the lamb chops which our son-in-law said were the best he EVER had!!! Please don’t pass up this new restaurant. Appears that it is a husband/wife team who runs it!! You will probably be as amazed as we were with the quality of the food. Prior to them taking over the restaurant, it had been Awshack, in the Princess Garden shopping center at the intersection of Rte. 3 and Conway Road.
