While in Washington DC, I really wanted to make a trip to Old Town Alexandria and stroll along King Street because I had read so many reviews about the fun area. We opted for Daniel O'connell's Irish Restaurant. I had the fish and chips because the reviews and waitress said they were a favorite. My husband had a steak and cheese sandwich. The fish was just OK. They were cod, which is pretty flavorless and greasy. I should have asked what kind of fish they used because I am a fan of halibut, but not cod. They were good, tons of greasy breading, which I took off to save calories. The fries are steak fries, which are also my least favorite fries. Husband said his sandwich was Ok, nothing to rave over. We sat outside and enjoyed the afternoon. Lisa, our waitress was awesome and very friendly and accomodating.

Hoping this gets managements attention. I live here, been here for Sunday brunch many times, but what a time for them to screw it all up!I had family in town and bragged about the brunch. It took 30 mins to get our waiter to come over, it took another 45 mins to get food and it came out cold. We were informed it was a new computer system messing everything up. The most disappointing part? The owner/manager, or whoever he is, was just milling around doing nothing.I will not return. Plenty of other places that still do it right and show some care about their patrons.

Here on business, my previous experience was good, so I returned. Big mistake. The server, "38 Dominiqu" is the name printed on the check, didn't write anything down. She returned once to re-ask how I wanted my bacon cheeseburger cooked (medium-well, again). When the burger arrived, there was no cheese, and it was way overcooked, charred black; a photo is included. To the server's credit, she did punch it in correctly, and but the disinterest was clear when I pointed out the bacon was amiss. Go somewhere else.
