Since opening in 2006, Isabella's Brick Oven has gained a reputation that is praised among locals and travelers alike. Our numerous awards include being named Baltimore Magazine's Best in Pizzas, Sandwiches, and Carryout. The Baltimore Sun's food critic g
This was my first time to the Little Italy pizzeria. The place is very small and worn, with a small counter and tight seating for 8 people. I found it disappointing that you could not see their brick oven which supposed to be the star. They could have at least posted a picture of it on the wall.My order was a side of meatballs ($6.25/three), a cold Italian sub ($12) and a plain cheese 14â pizza ($14). The three meatballs were small and a bit rubbery which means filler centric rather than meat. The Italian sub roll was not very good, and the sandwich did not have a lot of product for the price. To make matters worse they toasted the roll and it got a tad singed and gave off a bad taste. Not sure why it had glossy finish. As for the pizza, I was not impressed and expected better. There were sections of burnt outer crust, too much cheese and the dough very chewy. I will not be back.
I think the inside of their store probably scares off some customers, but their pizza is worth it. With four name brand chains around, they must be good to hang in there. The sauce has a very unusual flavor, that everybody likes once they've tried it. The subs and salads aren't recommended. Their pizzas earned all five of their stars.
Pieces of Eight is a new food truck usually parked at the heavy Seas Brewery in Lansdowne. It's pretty wild-looking, a converted school bus painted like a pirate ship, and there is a wood-fire pizza oven so the back is usually loaded with firewood. The pizzas they serve are great, ten-inchers with a perfect crust that only wood fire can deliver, and a fantastic sauce. You get these straight from the oven so you will usually have a few minutes to enjoy a beer while you wait for the molten cheese to cool. They have other menu items and specials, and I tried a cheesesteak they offered. My wife raved about it, while I found it merely okay but I had to agree that the meat was incredibly tender. They also offered pretzel nuggets with a fantastic beer-based dipping sauce. They are owned by the same people who own the Get Food Go food truck and offer many of the same menu items. I think I'll keep ordering their pizzas until I get bored with them, which I don't see happening.

I'm absolutely in love with this place! My boyfriend and I stopped by for an early dinner. The restaurant is small, but so charming and warm. The corner in which we were seated, had what i believe were local artists pieces on the walls. I loved that, it gives you a sense of community. The service was great, we were greeted immediately. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food itself was delicious! 10/10 recommend the garlic bread. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time here, and will absolutely be back!

I was in town visiting my parents who live locally. We all wanted pizza and they said there wasnât any great pizza around. So I got online and found this place. Holy smokes!!! Fantastic pizza, huge selection, amazing salads. AND the staff was impressive. My order was ready when I walked in and while I was being rung up, another staffer was double checking the order to ensure it was right (large order). That impressed me. Whole Family was happy from kids to grandparents.

Great neighborhood sub and pizza shop that has been in business as long as I have been alive.Homemade spaghetti and pizza sauce. Great for takeout, and even has a dine-in counter. Delivery available, and quite quick at that. Give up the mega chain pizzas and try something home made. You won't regret it.

This was a great find in a locale rich with fast food restaurants. The food was good, but was disappointed that it is not full service.

Small restaurant with seven tables and counter but good food and service. We enjoyed some appetizers and wine then shared pizza. Food was a sty, hot and the service was good. Topped off the meal with a Nutella cream puff. Casual place for a evening meal. Would be happy to return.

The chicken cheese steak special was still on with fries and a drink for $9.19. The sandwich was ok as were the fries , but I have had better elsewhere. I guess it just depends on who's making it, because sometimes it's a 3 and sometimes it's a 4.
