Our main ingredients come from farms dedicated to maintaining the health and well-being of their animals as well as the land. Domestic and imported beers are available on tap along with an excellent wine selection including local and organic choices. Five different dining rooms and extensive outdoor seating during the warm seasons provide a dynamic dining experience whether you are looking for a family-friendly, romantic or cozy neighborhood environment. Pets are also welcome to dine on the patio.
Hunter's Head is modeled on a high end British pub with serious ambiance, authentic food, and friendly service. You give your order at the bar, but then are served. The bartender, in addition to being very good looking, gave good advice concerning the wine selections. My husband has the Shepard's Pie - he gave it a 10 and loved the bread. I found the Salad Trio to be over the top good and I opted for and was not disappointed by the Sweet Potato Biscuits. Loved the Halloween decor in the tent outside - one can tell this is a community oriented place. We can't wait to return!

Located in the quaint village of Middleburg and inspired by four centuries of Virginia Hunt Country tradition, the Red Fox embodies the Piedmont’s cultural heritage. Established in 1728, our four story fieldstone Inn and Tavern boasts hand-hewn ceiling beams, heart pine floors and paneling, working fireplaces, and walls adorned with sporting art. Join us in the heart of Virginia’s famed Hunt and Wine Country to enjoy a hearty meal in our tavern followed by a relaxing evening in one of our cozy guest rooms.
Went for lunch, like we have done many times in the past, but we found it not to be open for lunch. This place is very historic and I am sure that the dinners are exceptional. Why they are closed for lunch escapes me.

I want to start with positive first. Lovely ambience. Warm. Cozy. Clean bathrooms. Nice people. Now....more info. Cold crab cake. Ravioli bland, very undercooked. I doubt it’s homemade unless you consider Costco homemade. Special was homemade fettuccine with mussels and calamari . Small mussels. Frozen squid like they use to fry. We just felt like we ordered the wrong dishes because obviously locals come here often. The people were nice.

Even though the line is long they do a good job moving it fast and without mistakes. The food is Excellent and good. I would recommend Chick-fil-A Warrenton to anyone

The signs inside ask that you make reservations and due to limited seating, I can understand why. However, we didn't have reservations and were the only customers that afternoon. They have a quaint and comfortable tea room. We were presented with small samples of each of the tea choices, so you could smell them as well as read their descriptions. We opted for a tea for two, each had our own teapot (which she refilled without any additional charge) and several nice fruits and pastries to accompany our tea. The woman working was friendly and attentive, but mostly left us alone to chat and enjoy our time. I suspect that if there are many other customers, you may feel a little crowded, but I had a delightful experience.

Robin seated us and waited on us and cashed us out. She took care us of with great care. She told us the Turkey sandwich was special, and it was. This place is a real gem.

Myself and a friend visited this site to see the childhood / family farm of John Marshall, not for the wine (although we enjoyed some samples when we get there). The historic farm is a private house but the addition was added by Marshall's eldest son. The staff (while not working primarily as historians) were very gracious and were willing to talk about the structure. Very active winery, was a lot of fun!

Why on Earth are there no organic sandwiches, breads, pies, cookies, etc? Organic flour and other ingredients are very easy to come by. I'd rather not eat Roundup, antibiotics, and hormones, thank you.

These are the best cookies around. If you are out for a drive in the country you must stop. My wife and I stopped in this weekend. We couldn't decide so we got a bakers dozen and were we glad. Loved the lemon poppy seed, toasted coconut surprise, pumpkin chocolate chip, and the choc chip. We will be back soon. Plus the owners seemed very nice. I think this opened in September and the recipes are some handed down in this family.
THEY WERE CRAZY GOOD!

The Front Porch Market & Grill is an authentic restaurant and market devoted to sustainable foods and local economic development through rural-urban partnerships. We offer full a full menu, including chef-prepared sandwiches. Fully renovated, patrons can enjoy eating in our upstairs dining room or on the "back porch." The downstairs market features wine, gourmet items and unique gifts.
This restaurant was on my “must try “list after reading positive reviews in print media. What a disappointment. Brie and crab quesadilla (not much of either in these tortillas) was dried out. The steak was completely fatty. Inedible, really. Due to the fact that they were out of the potatoes that were on the menu, they substituted breakfast potatoes. Typically, I’m a fan of breakfast potatoes. I am not, however, a fan of burnt potatoes. Worst potatoes I’ve ever been served. I’m sort of shocked this fish made it out of the kitchen. Sadly, these two items were inedible. I have crossed this off my list and suggest you do, too.
