We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, and boy are we glad we ventured inside, Ben and he's wife were so welcoming, friendly and honest in conversation. The food was outstanding with plenty of flavours. This is a must if visiting Eassouria. The live music (with a couple of famous faces) was the icing on the cake. Keep up the good work, and best of luck with the new addition to the family x

A contemporary restaurant specialising in modern dishes inspired by traditional Moroccan flavours. Vegetarian options available.
This restaurant has only been open a few months but I predict in a couple of years you will struggle to get a table. The food and service are excellent. The decor is minimalist chic in creams and whites. The staff spoke good English and were helpful. Iâm a vegetarian and my husband and I shared a mezze of dips and Moroccan âcigarsâ - spring rolls stuffed with cheese and raisins - as starters. It was all delicious. I then had a layered aubergine bake (think Melanzane Parmigiana Moroccan style) and he had the fish of the day. Again great flavours and just the right amount of food. After the Vegetarian Berber tagine that I ate in the High Atlas this aubergine bake was the next best main course Iâve eaten in Morocco. We finished with a tiramisu and a chocolate mousse with cardamom. An excellent enterprise that deserves to do well and I would definitely put it on the list of go to restaurants in Essaouira.Hi Isabel! Thank you for visiting us and for your kind feedback, we are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your meal and experience here with us. We hope to see you again soon! Nomade

Restaurant is open for dinner and lunch everyday. Fish & Vegetarian menus. Vegan and no gluten choices. Tasty, healthy, cosy and sustainable ! Triskala Cafe is serving only local food , fresh mixed juices of seasonal fruit and various infusion & teas. No
Our two starter and two entree meal was largely disappointing. The starters were good but the meal was ruined by the sides that came with the mains. The green beans and carrots had little flavour and were extremely overcooked and the smokey eggplant was bland and bitter. We were baffled by all the high TA reviews and annoyed at having paid above average for a subpar meal.

To find our restaurant in the Medina is not easy thus here is about indications: if you come from the outside from the Medina Bab (door) Marrakesh to take the second street to the right and to follow arrows. If you come from the medina to ask for it the d
We decided to find this restaurant during datlight hours to make our evening trip easier. I am pleased we did ! Tucked away in narrow streets and the only visibility from the street is a small but very heavy blue door ! It opens evenings only. Once inside, the restaurant is just lovely. The menu seems note french than moroccan and emphasis is on fish and seafood. Menuis also market driven in terms of availablity/ seasonality of fresh produce. A wonderful dining experience that we had not expected behind the blue door !

Very nice staff - cool friendly place. Food was delicious, (simple but done very well). Cosy, more casual dining on the maisonette. Serves alcohol. Would really recommend the duck or beef.

Restaurant decorated with gaiety. Home in simplicity and gentillese. Small menu card but regular suggestions.
Our food was indeed fabulous and we thank La Cle de Voute for their creativity in offering what I'd say are truly different and successful dishes. We were lucky as we arrived early and benefited form the good service, relative quiet and personal attention you'd expect in a place which serves high caliber of food. But all the seats quickly filled due to advanced bookings, the service slowed and it was finally a relief to get out of the cramped, rather noisy room, which I'm sorry to say lacks ambience. There's little in the way the dining area is arranged, the background music they use, or the decor to make Le Cle de Voute feel intimate, relaxed or friendly. Pretension is starting to creep into what was probably once a lovely restaurant. It may be that their reputation for great food on social media is starting to detract from the overall dining experience. When somewhere becomes an on line 'foodie holy grail,' the real life dynamic often changes and and I'm afraid this has happened to Le Cle de Voute. Perhaps it's time to hike up the prices and get a larger restaurant!

Had our first dinner here upon arriving in Essaouira. Despite being windy we were able to sit outside as the wind is blocked (and they had blankets just in case). We both ordered fish dishes - the monkfish and the John dorry. Both were cooked perfectly. The vegetable sides were ordered were also excellent. Good wine selection we came back on our last day for a tapas lunch. It was even better. Great cheese plate, fabulous chilli prawns and great chicken skewers. Staff was beyond friendly and whole vibe is friendly and chilled. Do not miss this great spot. Dear ktg116,We do our best to please our costumers and we are so happy to read you and see that we fulfilled our mission !and if you come back to lovely Essaouira we would be very happy to have you again !Thank you very much for your review !Noreen, Ilyas & La Coupole team

We had dinner here and were pleasantly surprised w/the setting, ambience, quiet blues music playing during dinner and would certainly recommend enjoying dinner here. We didn't reserve ahead and were seated immediately. Others dining while there were another couple, and 2 families at different tables. Quiet and well behaved children.
