My wife, 1 1/2-year old son, and I loved this place. First of all, the owner Faoud (sp?) was incredibly warm and welcoming. He made us feel right at home. The food was amazing. Seriously, the best we had in our 2-week trip to Morocco. Then there was the music... What a cool blend of funk, blues, and African rhythms. The band was from the desert and played a style of music popular in Mali. We danced and chatted with Faoud and the band for several hours. My son especially was tearing up the dance floor. Normally, we like to try different places to eat when we are traveling, but we liked this place so much that we came back the next night!

A place to relax, lounge and feast. A place to sleep and wake up to the sea. A place far from eveything and close to the essential. Fresh fish, fresh food beautiful and comfortable bedrooms.
About 20k South from Essaouira, on the sea front, this cafe/restaurant is really great. Simple, only seconds from the sea, uninterrompted views of the Ocean, very quiet (except perhaps at weekends), an excellent place for a day of farniente away from Essaouira and its busy medina.Salads, homemade pies and fresh fishes (a la plancha or cooked: a MUST). All being very fresh and generously served.4 new rooms for those who want to stay overnight and enjoy the quietness of this little paradise, have just been completed (with private facilities). Small but stylish in a minimal way with separate terrace (on one side of the restaurant).A totally charming lady owner, laidback but truly professional. And a couple of friendly dogs walking on the nearby beach with you or chasing the local goats when they come too close to the property !!!!No swimming-pool, no Wifi, so perfect for a few days to get away from the madness of our world.Nearby, the fishing village of Sidi Kouaki with a beautiful beach and surfing facilities.15 minutes from Essaouira International Airport (!!!!) with direct flights to London Luton and Paris-Orly.No rental car needed unless one wants to drive to Essaouira (half the drive is on a dirt track as the road is being rebuilt).A perfect spot that took 12 years to complete, thanks to the owner ! We loved it !just one word : thanks !

We enjoyed a delicious lamb couscous - tender meat and aromatic vegetables served with a sense of style in beautiful blue china pots- with a bottle of very nice red wine. Service and atmosphere were excellent. We had first appreciated the musicians in the courtyard, accompanied by G&T, and for both that and the meal in the restaurant complimentary nibbles appeared. Reasonable prices for a 5 star hotel.Dear guest,Thnak ou for your comments and you describe so well the ambiance of our restaurant. Glad to read that you enjoyed the Lamb Couscous. We are looking forward to welcoming you again soon.Kind regards

LE COSY, Chic Bistro, on the first floor of TAROS, situated between the harbour and the Medina ' entrance, is offering an " a la carte " menu. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Le Cosy is revisiting classic French an Marocan dishes, and as well some ver
We started our evening in the cocktail bar next door (Le Club) wit two superb cocktails before being shown into a small room leading off the main restaurant. This was very cosy with a fire burning in the fireplace which gave the restaurant lots of atmosphere and was very romantic. Our food was superb. I had the selection of smoked fish and my husband the carpaccio of beef to start and then we both had the lamb cooked in puff pastry with a lovely pepper cream sauce. Our red wine was also excellent. As we were finishing our meal a singer and guitarist went to sit by the fire and she sang/he played the most wonderful soft ballads - not intrusive but made us want to listen it was so good. The service was also excellent - very professional and helpful. This was a really enjoyable meal and I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend it. But do make a reservation.Thank you so much Margaret..for your very supporting and encouraging comment .We are so glad to know that you had a great evening at Le Cosy .Looking forward to see you you again ( and you Husband ) .Best regards .Daniel

Apart from delicious, actually super delicious food, itâs also the restaurant with the most entertainment Iâve ever visited. From belly-dancers, to violinists, live bands, fire throwers and gnaoua(Moroccan dancers)! The place was fun, loud, crazy cool and everyone loved it!!! The owner, Didier, was charming and generous. We loved the interior of the place, very charming! Weâre going back for dinner tonight.

Restaurant decorated with gaiety. Home in simplicity and gentillese. Small menu card but regular suggestions.
Our food was indeed fabulous and we thank La Cle de Voute for their creativity in offering what I'd say are truly different and successful dishes. We were lucky as we arrived early and benefited form the good service, relative quiet and personal attention you'd expect in a place which serves high caliber of food. But all the seats quickly filled due to advanced bookings, the service slowed and it was finally a relief to get out of the cramped, rather noisy room, which I'm sorry to say lacks ambience. There's little in the way the dining area is arranged, the background music they use, or the decor to make Le Cle de Voute feel intimate, relaxed or friendly. Pretension is starting to creep into what was probably once a lovely restaurant. It may be that their reputation for great food on social media is starting to detract from the overall dining experience. When somewhere becomes an on line 'foodie holy grail,' the real life dynamic often changes and and I'm afraid this has happened to Le Cle de Voute. Perhaps it's time to hike up the prices and get a larger restaurant!

Another delicious experience at dâOrient et dâAilleurs which has now become my must-stop-by restaurant whenever Iâm in Essaouira. I was delighted to see some novelties added on the menu like the John Dory filet served with a very tasty coconut sauce and tender vegetables. My partner went for his usual meat couscous (always generous portions). I also tried the dried fruit pie for dessert, a sweet touch that tickle the palate but doesnât weigh heavy on the stomach. Altogether another very agreeable evening!
