Things to do in Croydon
First visit of this restaurant under new ownership. It will be our last. My partner had spaghetti bolognese . Her comment was "I could do better" for someone that doesn't know where the kitchen is. She thought it was poor. Lacked quality and quantity of sauce. For an Italian restaurant stuffing up pasta is unfortunate. I had mixed seafood. All over cooked with out any accompanying sauce or lemon. I was left to wonder what this place was about because they couldn't care less about the food or customers. Much better other local options

Dinner for 15 at our table covered a range of italian/european meals from pizza, salad, souvlaki and parmas. Every meal was large and reasonably priced. Quiet dining with the option of paying individually or as one bill was a great option. Drinks also available ordered with meals & serviced by good waitresses. Seniors menu included glass of wine.

My daughter took my wife and I here for the first time and what a lovely surprise. Loved the setting and the interior decor, I can imagine this would be even more impressive in the evening. Service started off well and then got a little lost. We ordered pizzas's and a side of polenta chips , when the food eventually did come out we kind of wished the waitress had perhaps given us an indication that the size of the servings would be so large. That said, the pizzas were fantastic, the best I have had for some time and we would certainly like to come back in the evening. Great food and location and would highly recommend .Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We look forward to hosting you again sometime.
On our second visit lay night we were once again thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and service and size of the dishes. The wine seems hand picked as the list is small but outstanding. Don't miss this place.

At Da Ricardoâs we strive to bring you authentic dishes from around the world along with friendly service, fresh produce all at a reasonable price. We all know how much we love to celebrate with family and friends, so we now offer an upstairs function roo
When we visit relatives from interstate, we usually dine at Da Ricardo's and we are never disappointed. Service is always attentive and the meals are of good proportions and value. Ambience is friendly and happy. A nice place for a leisurely lunch or dinner. Our salmon was delicious and other people ordered the steak special which was also well presented and tasty. The restaurant is BYO wine which is also a nice touch, although the wine list is also very good and not overly expensive.A relaxing place for an enjoyable meal with friends/family.

We went with a group, there was no table service. My meal the penne carbonara was terrible, my husband waited 1 hour to recieve his meal and all of us had finished. We havre enjoyed Crave next door much better. Such slow service should never be rewarded

I have waited 4 years to eat in this Restaurant, ever since I moved to Melbourne it has been on my must do list. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I thought I was going to an authentic Italian Restaurant only to be handed a mish mash of a Menu, hardly anything Italian at all. Bit of Asian, Indian (?) but not much in the way of Italian. Service was ok in the beginning, the place was not that busy so very surprised at the lack of attention our table was shown. Garlic bread with no garlic, lasagne looked like a big bowl of slop, tastted a little better than it looked. Lace Crepe was swimming in an unattractive oily mess. Desert suprised us by being very good. The cocktails were great, another major let down was the coffee, no crema on top of the black coffee and a bad burnt taste to it, and no sugar offered with my espresso it's Melbourne I thought a bad coffee was impossible to get. I was wrong.Hello Mimmidiner, thanks for your feed back. We are sorry that you came in with the preconceived notion that we are an Italian restaurant. We have been describing ourselves as a modern Australian restaurant since 2010. Yes our menu touches on all Australian cultures that you describe as 'mish mash'. We currently don't have any Indian dishes on the menu but may well put some on in the future. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your cocktails and the dessert but am sorry that the coffee was not to your liking, I will endeavour to further educate our staff so that all our coffee's are cohesive and up to Melbourne's standards. We will investigate into what went wrong with the food as both the lasagna and the crepe are one of our top selling dishes and we don't often get bad feedback on these. We take all feed back as constructive criticism and look forward on improving everyone's dining experience. We hope that you will give us another chance to redeem ourselves in the near future
