We live near Cirencester and once a month love to drive over to Marlborough for Lunch . Our last three visits have been pretty dismal as the restaurants chosen were all pretty average and actually rather over rated !! Then a friend recommended Pinos and since then we haven’t looked back having lunches there twice now !! Absolutely super with a charming owner and lovely staff and an imaginative and great value Menu, lovely dishes complimented by a rather nice wine list . The Antipasti was excellent and I recommend their super Funghi ripieni followed by a delicious Filetto di Merluzzo. Their Pizzas are mind boggling being extremely big and incredibly delicious so go for their Pizza Pollo Calabrese !! We were completely stuffed after a truly wonderful Lunch and I cannot recommend Pinos enough . Six of us spent two hours over Lunch and we are all determined to come back next month !!! Wow that was an amazing Lunch !!!!

Awarded with a Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor; The Palm is a place where we hope to transcend the true taste of modern indian cooking with a twist. Following our major new Atrium Extension and facelift, we have transformed the Palm into something a little extra special. We offer it all, great atmosphere, cocktails, private dining, lounges, private car parking, charming staff and unique menus.
This is totally unusual for me I give the PALM 10 out of 10. I seriously can not fault this Indian! BEST INDIAN IN THE UK. ? Mr Adams

This place was amazing! I went here for brunch one day and can not say enough good things about it. My meal came very quickly after I ordered it. I had the vegetarian full breakfast and ate every last piece. It was fresh, hot, and delicious. I also had a pot of green tea, which was also hot and very good. I highly recommend this tearoom, and would come back here every day if I lived in Marlborough.

Silks On The Downs is best described as a friendly & homely ' Gastro Pub '. Our menus change regularly and we source locally from the fantastic produce available around us. We are located in Ogbourne St Andrew, one mile outside the beautiful market town of Marlborough. Adorning our walls are framed silks of leading racehorse owners as worn by the jockeys, reflecting Wiltshire's rich racing heritage, as well as giving the pub its name. We are open daily for lunch and dinner (closed on a Sunday evening).
Lovely place clean , modern in side with Riding Silks in frames on the wall. Small Carpark, service and welcome was friendly. Quick Lunch required and was delivered, Food was of good standard and "Hot" Went away happy and fed. Great place for a casual lunch or evening meal. Nice touches here and there too. worth a visit if looking for a meal.

I was part of a South African Wine Tasting lunch, and my first time here at the Harrow. I would look for any opportunity to go back.
My comments here about a couple of the dishes in no way reduce the overall and excellent standard of food and service here.
We were presented with an oyster amuse with Wasabi. I prefer my oysters unadorned! Then a delightful Crab, pea and courgette, followed swiftly by the Lobster dish with Indian spices. Now my taste buds were really beginning to warm up. This followed by a Mini Steak and Kidney pie, which was outstanding.
The Foie Gras Toffee, was just a bit on the over sweet side for me, but others at table raved.Topped off with what seems like The Harrow's signature Boiled Egg and Soldier - a compelling end to one of the best tasting menus I have had for some time.
Also must compliment on the focus on local and British ingredients, the only exception being the truffle from Perigord.

Dropped in here on the way back from Wales to re-fuel the body and soul
A Fullers pub so i was looking for a pint of ESB
Unfortunately not on tap
There was however London Pride another Fullers beer
Not keen on the London Pride so I opted to have a Guinness
The Guinness was ever so slightly warm, I guess from the glass that had presumably just been washed
The food was okay, I had beer battered fish, chunky chips, minted mushy peas and tartar sauce. The batter was a little greasy, however the fish was flaky if a little dry. The chips were for the most part were good and the minted mushy peas were perfect.
All in all not a bad little pub in a scenic great location

Voted Wiltshire cafe of the year 2017 A coffee shop, for 30 covers, with extra Seating outside on the pavement in good weather. Our divine coffee is beautifully made by baristas (the owners) who care. Our hot chocolate is incredible - dark, white, chili, or extreme chili? Fabulous sandwiches and home made cakes, baked potatoes and paninis, home made soup or a decadent Eggs Benedict. Watch the world go by, whilst enjoying our hospitality, in air conditioned splendour.
Very disappointing, the cafe was very dirty, the service was not very friendly, the table was not wiped when our coffees arrived . I tried one of the Portuguese custard tarts, it was old tasting, the pastry was very thick and hard, needless to say after the first bite I did not finish it.
On our next visit to Marlborough we will have to find somewhere else for our morning coffee.

Excellent gastropub about 5 minutes drive west of Marlborough. Large outside Terrace with river views. Very good food and friendly servicePhone number is 01672 861099
Nice relaxed meal. Sister in law had the vegetarian risotto. Not my cup of tea but she enjoyed it. My wife had the lamb and I had the pork belly. Both superbly presented with fresh vegetables and meat beautifully prepared. Deserts also good although a little bit rich. Service friendly and effecient. Great value.

A traditional English high class gastro pub just outside Marlborough. Smart outside Terrace with large heated 'Jumbrellas' and large garden with fantastic children's play area. Family and children friendly.
visited for lunch yesterday and was really impressed. Lovely decor, friendly staff and fantastic food. We chose the sharing steak and were amazed at how much meat there was, and the quality. £45 for two with the amount we got was such good value. Our children had fish and chips, and venison sausages and mash, again great value. The pork belly also look good.
Our only slight gripe was there was a bit of a wait (despite only 3 groups eating) and the atmosphere could have been a bit more Christmassy. The tree was barely decorated and the lights weren't on. Also a lit fire would have been nice.
All in all, it's a lovely place and we'll definitely be back.

We stopped for a Sunday roast lunch. This is supposed to be British food pub. For goodness sake learn how to cook perfect roast on a Sundays. The meat was paper thin sliced with a machine, runny gravy and poorly cooked vegatable. The place is clean but I cannot see how Trip Advisor gave them a certificate of excellence. Desserts are the usual gastly factory output. Home made food from basic ingredients can tranform this pub. So far, this is my first and last visit.
