An excellent thin crust pizza. The pizza was larger than what is served at many of the other pizza restaurants in Lomé. The restaurant is simply decorated but clean and the AC works well. A nice new addition to pizza joints in Lomé.

Lots of expat families come here shud be easy to find. Has been at this location for years
Spent 2.5 weeks in Lome in April 2012 (will be back in April 2013) on some NGO work for a children's charity. Being from a 1st world country, that being Canada, one has to admit that working in a 3rd world environment can be challenging from many angle including culture, pace, climate, poverty, etc. That said, Togo is a place of a great, proud and beautiful people; why else would I return? :-)The above said, there comes the time that the ability to step out of the local environment and find a place to spend a few hours that is, if not the same as home, at least part way there. In Lome, the Golden Beach was for our team of 6 that "oasis". I believe we were not alone in this thinking as the majority of the customers appeared to expats most likely from the diplomatic postings in Lome. We visited twice in the time we were there - kind of an end of week reward ;-)So here are what I consider the +:1- great cold air conditioning (those that have been in Africa know what I am talking about :-)2- great reception by the manager / owner3- free WIFI (same comment as first point !)4- diverse menu (very good Lebanese food in Lome Togo? Good Italian style pizza?- yep)5- try the platter that has several Lebanese dishes - just a wonderful introduction and some very unique choices. (you will see what I mean;-). 6- good ice cold draft beer (same comment as first point)7- very good pizza made in stone ovens. Great choice of toppings.8- have a TV with football (soccer) games on most of the time.9- have a bar for a pre-meal drink if desired. Great opportunity to talk to a few interesting expats with interesting stories. Quite marvelous really! Did I mention the cold draft beer :-))10- location is very good for Lome, just across the main street from the ocean. As with anywhere in Lome, be careful walking at night. During the day, a beautiful view from their patio.12- owners, being typical Lebanese, were bilingual. Local staff were passably English - French bilingual with mother tongue of French as is prevalent in Togo. Here are few things they could improve on:- smiles are cheap, our server although efficient was not cheerful but that could be a cultural thing more than anything.- some of the wines listed were not available as were a few of the menu items but as the menu selection is quite broad, no big issue..So the litmus test is , , , , will I re-visit? Absolutely. With all things taken into consideration, the Golden Beach will remain my and our oasis in Lome, this time will pass on the Lebanese and go for the pizza! My read: 8.75 / 10here is a link for them: http://www.togo-tourisme.com/restaurant/restaurant-togo-lome-golden-beach.phpBon appétit!

Very inexpensive (1000 CFA) chicken or beef schwarma wraps at this open air diner. Burgers, hummus and pita were alright as well. Nothing exceptional, but the best fast food we found which would not induce Togo-belly. Service was prompt and the wraps & burgers make for good takeaway.

Good clean spot to eat. We took the family and had really nice sandwiches (Philly cheese steaks and chicken fajitas with hummus as an appetizer). They have some really nice desserts as well!

Le Restaurant les nuits d'Orient présent depuis 2003 sur le bd du 13 janvier, vous propose une cuisine au goût de l'orient très familiale traditionnelle et authentique.
Located in the centre of Lomé this is a good Lebanese restaurant that has friendly service, a nice interior and large servings. As you come in you are served some nice sliced cucumbers and carrots. The restaurant itself is well laid out with an excellent alcohol selection and some nice wooden furnishings. All of the staff seemed very pleasant and we ordered a selection of different mezzes. The hommous was superb, as was the moussaka. We also ordered some very tasty fattoush and kibbeh. Note that the menu is only in French. For a selection of 5 mezzes + 2 large waters the bill came to 16,000CFA. 5 mezzes were more than enough for 2 people, especially due to the large portion sizes. Whilst this is expensive (especially so for Lomé) the quality was excellent. I highly recommend.
