During my first trip to Lome (1month) I ate here for at least 20 days. The waiters, the cooks, the owner of the restaurant,the ambiance. Everything was into tune. The experience was amazing. Try the fishsoup and let the cook prepare it a bit more sharp. Also try the beef, the crab.. There is so much I can say about the restaurant but the best summary will be: magnificent!

Food options are varied and you can get a decent sized, reasonable priced meal here. The pork escalope in particular is very good. They serve beer on draught, which is rare for Lomé. They also show the football on request.The atmosphere has never been buzzing at all, whatever time of day I have been but if you want a quiet meal near the coast in Lome, you can do much worse than here!

When you go to the Philipat ask if there was any catch of the day - the owner usually goes out fishing once or twice a week and the fish is top quality. The pastas are also excelente - I suggest lasagne au saumon. And a gin tonic to go with.

We came as a family (7 of us) to swim and relax. Great place to chill. Service was friendly. Food was just ok, nothing to get excited about. We had pizza, seafood, pasta for the quality and quantity it's on the pricey side. We will be back to swim and relax though!

Have had dinner and lunch here, the menus for both are great. Only sampled German dishes each time and quite well done. No written menu; dishes based on what is available locally on the day. and what wonderful French cooking with very personal service from la patronne et le chef. Wonderful experience, delicious food- do try the salted boeuf. Definitely worth seeking out, but call in advance, especially if you have any special needs (e.g. vegetarian, coeliac etc.) and bring cash. A bit off the beaten off the beaten track but you will be well rewarded.

I had an early dinner and was very satisfied with everything. The staff were attentive, the food was very fast, the freshly baked baguette was exquisite, the gratin de langouste with spinach and mushrooms was heavenly, the wine (as I had it by the glass)was so-so. Otherwise, I had a great meal and a lovely ambiance. The prices? For the food you get itâs well worth it! Nothing exaggerated. Although I didnât have many experiences of dining out in Lomé, this restaurant gets the number 1 place in my opinion! Just be aware, the place opens at 6pm for dinner and is closed between lunch and dinner time!

Went for a long weekend in Lome with 8 friends, ate at Route des Vins the first night and had an excellent experience. Personally I know very little about wine but they had what seemed like an excellent selection at good prices. More importantly they had a fantastic cheese selection, probably the highlight as we got a platter of various hard and soft cheeses with our other dishes - just great. We also had the raclette as dessert served hot with potatoes - great for the taxi home if you can't finish.They also have great wifi randomly so can take calls from their garden, on the off chance you need to speak to someone while in Lome..What a wonderful message !We are very happy to know that you had a great time at La Route des vins Togo !Hope to see you soon :) again !
