If you no longer have a grandmother living to make Sunday dinner for you, then you are in luck. The Southern favorites are perfectly done, but Mediterranean fare, homemade desserts, and a tremendous variety of fresh vegetable dishes offer something for everyone. The buffet style feels like a quick trip into grandma's kitchen before you retire to one of three various parlors with unique tables, chairs and decor in each. This does not feel like a restaurant, but like a personal trip into the proprietors home. The staff is so friendly and they will seem like your extended family by the close of your experience. The $12 price per person is a steal for the quality. Be sure to try their unique interpretations of shrimp primavera, their spicy twist on Chicken Bog, any sauteed vegetables of the day, and this Blueberry Cream deep dish cake with real fresh blueberries on the top. Best Sunday Dinner location in town. Very limited seating so arrive before noon if you are going to be a heathen a miss church. The rest of us will just pray that God grants us a great seat. Bon apetit.

For a small town restaurant, City Food and Spirits is awesome. Owner/operator Joseph and Jean Abram provide mouth-watering food at very reasonable prices. The buffet for lunch has four to five meats and that many or more vegetables. If you don't liked fried foods then select the baked meats. And before you leave, you must try the peach cobbler which is fantastic. A great restaurant in small town Marion. Try it!!

Food was terrible. Cold, old, unappealling. Place looked dirty to me. I will normally give a restaurant two or three chances but I just could not go back.

Chances are you'll drive right by the place looking for it because for some reason they don't have a sign. If you do find the place it's real good and real local. Choose buffet or burgers. The burgers are good but the buffet is better. Excellent fried chicken.
On Sundays the back of the place opens for Sunday Brunch. Again real good and much more of the real local. As church gets out folks come here, and as the town has lots of churches there will be waves of different denominations arriving at different times.

834-423-9531 - I think it is pretty new.
My husband and I were on a desperate search to find some edible food in this culinary wasteland. We noticed the crowded parking lot and were in the mood for asian food. The restaurant seemed clean and popular. We each ordered a hibachi meal- one chicken and one steak. The steak was very chewy, dry, but tasty. The chicken was overcooked little bland chunks. We each got about three cups of plain fried rice and a token few pieces of vegetables. Even with about a quart of soy sauce- it was unpalatable and scarcely appeared Japanese.
The egg drop soup was a mucousy mess. The beef broth with fatty strips of beef was unlike any previously encountered Asian or otherwise soup. (It did cause significant GI distress to my husband though!)
Thank God were are moving away from this area with its horrible food.

The food here is great, I at the Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo which was amazing, well prepared and served. Drinks are awesome and well prepared, the bartender knows how to make a drink. Things have gotten a whole lot better since the staff change and the new staff was very friendly.

We wandered into this place by accident, but stayed because of the food and the prices. GREAT soul food at a little price, including drink. Definitely worth a stop!

This is a family establishment in downtown Marion, in business for forty years or more.
We were traveling the back roads and found this small eatery in a small town. It's not a four star but the do make a good burger and the service is efficient and fast. The place was full of locals. It's a no frills sort of place...no menu...the list of food is on the wall and you are given your bill at the register....cash only! An interesting stop for lunch.

The Marion Burger King consistently offers quality meals at a reasonable price. The managers and staff are always friendly.
