Peace and Quiet
Reviewed By aross64We arrived at this hotel to be greeted by Thomas and quickly given our keys to the rooms. Rooms are furnished with lovely antique furniture plus rooms are well sized. Our group then had a light lunch which was all freshly prepared with seasonal produce direct from the garden. The restaurant has a lovely outside eating area with a small river running along the side so tranquil. We had dinner outside at night a beautiful choice of special dishes we all opted for schnitzel with a wine and mushroom sauce wow we were not disappointed delicious. Our breakfast the next morning was a great variety of cheeses and cold meats along with hard boiled eggs jams and rolls plenty for everyone. We ate again on our second and last night there all enjoying various dishes along with salad which comes directly from the garden beside the restaurant. This hotel is an ideal place to get away from it all. The service was great and we felt right at home. Petra and Thomas were excellent hosts and we had so many laughs with them. We were sad to leave this great friendly place today but we will be back again for sure.

"Does what it says on the tin"
Reviewed By TamingdoomA group 25 of us visited recently. The Hotel "does what it says on the tin" it's basic, but we found the staff friendly, and welcoming. Food was OK, and rooms were OK plenty of hot water and everything works.Beds are comfortable rooms clean and tidy. Sure it's getting a bit tired but that's reflected in the reasonable price. Parking easy & plentiful, location is fine for the area, but a short 5-10 min ride from Bernkastel.

Nice little German hideaway
Reviewed By Julie_an_SteveBeautiful guest house, very traditional old German style with gardens and lovely pool area. Rooms rather dated and stuffy in 30*+ heat we've had lately. Little English spoken so be prepared with basic German and a dictionary, we were the only English there. Would've struggled without my school girl German! The proprietress wasn't particularly friendly or helpful, whether this was due to the language barrier or just her personality. The only local place to eat is Sattelkammer, a family run bar/restaurant within walking distance, limited menu but extremely good food and very welcoming,despite the language barrier. Bernkastel-kues worth a visit, very pretty tourist town on the Mosel with boat trips and stunning architecture.

B&B beetje uit de route
Reviewed By johnroegVriendelijk echtpaar dat welliswaar alleen Duits spreekt. Locatie is een beetje afgelegen van de Moesel route en een stuk de berg op fietsen. Kamer is oubollig met een matige matras en opstaande rand aan voeteneind. Geen airco aanwezig. Ontbijt was zeer goed. Behoorlijk aan de prijs voor wat je krijgt.
