We had a nice evening meal, in a nice decor , nice atmosphere, relaxed but efficient service... I enjoyed the fish( pavé de thon with different sauces ) ...And the mousse au chocolat was good too !

We ordered the grilled fish and a pork dish with a honey-based sauce. Both were excellent. They came with very interesting and tasty side dishes - seasoned rice, fried plantains and a type of winter squash with a cream sauce. We polished off every last bit of it. The entrees are around 22 euro each. Very nice meal in a nice restaurant.

The Accra starter was delicious, others has good lobster, duck and steak. I have had tastier octopus but served with potatoes and rice! Some salad or green veg would have been better. Fresh squeezed orange juice, refreshing.Very hot when first arrived, but staff turned fans up which made it comfortable.Cosy decor.

A l'époque "Galante Traiteur" fut notre cantine.

Un-pretentious gem! I am not sure if it was the beautiful sunny day, the lovely waters, the warm welcome or the Ti punch, this promised to be a great afternoon from our very first step inside and it turned out to be more than what would expect. You enter into what seems like the entrance to an ordinary home and it opens out to a fantastic waterfront restaurant. Food was honest, simple and fresh. This is the kind of place where one would spend a good part of one's day, lingering, reading a book, have some Rum Agricoles and celebrate life!

I loved everything about la balaine rouge: the relaxed atmosphere right by the sea (i almost wished they had hung a hammoc somewhere for me to enjoy my coffee in :o), the attentive service, the freshness of the food, and the beautiful way it was presented. The delicously flavoured fish tartare came in half a coconut shell, the salad was lovingly garnished, and the fantastic home made potatoe wedges were accompanied by a delicious kind of mayonnaise. While not pretentious, this is definitely dining on a much higher level than we usually encountered on guadeloupe & co.
