Stopped here for lunch and we're glad we did! Delicious and generous portions of food. Large menu offering: everything from burgers to Italian food. We started with the fried Italian cheese as an appetizer--gooey, warm and crisp. My husband had broasted chicken--four large pieces which he said were very good. And I had the chicken cordon bleu---I could taste the Swiss cheese and ham, wonderful! There's a wood burning stove--we have to come back to have the California style pizza! There's a full service bar as well. Daily specials and off street parking lot.

To the owners... get a real sign to advertise your business to give your establishment a fair chance of success.
To patrons: The best submarine sand which I ever had, which is a clear recommendation,
Nicely renovated small business from days gone by!
Rating 10/10 but needs better signage!

I had the best and most generous sized pulled chicken sandwich ever at Fire and Ice. My husband's tenderloin was also delicious. We had stopped there for lunch; the Oreo ice cream was dramatically creamy. Everything there is homemade and you can see the cooking happening. It's a plain atmosphere, bar in the back. Quite a few families were there for lunch as well--prices are reasonable. My only complaint: the fries. Just not as tasty as the sandwiches. We'll go back!

Almost didn't go in as it looked like a bar and I hate trying to eat in a noisy bar. Fortunately we tried anyway and found a nice area for dining. Food was excellent-hot and cooked to perfection. Best chopped steak sandwich I've eaten in a long time. Waitress was polite and attentive, not too much to be annoying. No loud music, though it was a Monday evening so don't know how loud it gets on a weekend. Will definitely go back for the food.

It's not always easy to fine a good calzone, but this place makes one. Very tasty, I ordered the sausage, with a side of sauce (needed). The family thought the Italian beef and meatball sandwich was average. The gluten free pizza I didn't try, my wife didn't like. However my calzone was so good, the non gluten free people all wanted to try the regular pizza next time. Too bad they couldn't make their own GF crust. Tucked away, not easy to find.

Very friendly staff and attentive waitress. The menu had healthy options for breakfast and was very good so good we had to order a second order of Turkey sausage for our daughter. They advertise fresh squeezed orange juice and it is, the machine is sitting on the counter.

A great little sandwich place hidden away in Marengo, IL. The sandwiches are good. Ambience is fine - in an old-time retail store. The coffee could have been better. But overall a great place to meet someone else for conversation and grabbing a quick lunch.

You'd figure the ice cream would be good, and it was. However, for a quick bite to eat, the Italian beef was very good. Side of onion rings made the cut as well.

Contemporary-American fare, featuring hand-crafted burgers, 10 beers on tap and homemade desserts. Trio is the perfect location for working lunches or family-friendly dining. Love sports? We have the largest TVs in the area. Or take one of our specialty drink our on our beautiful Patio. Once you've finished eating try a game of Bowling on one of Glo-Bowl's 16 lanes, or try your hand at video gaming, darts, or in the arcade. Need space for your next party or business event? We have private rooms that seat up to 50 people.
The chef here is awesome. Very well trained with amazing ideas. The execution is sometimes lacking. From overdone pork to potato wedges cooked in very old oil, the details seem to be missed. Maybe there are "too many cooks in the kitchen" for the awesomeness to come through. The atmosphere is nice, but confusing...is it fine dining? Is it a sports bar? What IS this place? Service is always great.

I went here today to check this place out. But was very disappointed. I was surprised how busy it was when there was a much better restaurant across the street. I wasn't impressed with my waitress. She just came around when she had to. My breakfast arrived with a piece of hair on it! And so sent it back another long wait. Than my hash browns were greasy. A very limited menu. Prices were okay but they only take cash. Maybe they are better to there reg. customers. Not sure I just know I won't be back.
