The staff was so sweet and welcoming. It was a very pleasant stay and the atmosphere was perfect. Close to very beautiful nature and the most lovely river in the mountains. We would recommend it to everyone going to the camino or just going for a small trip to an authentic Spanish city. X Kian & Gustav

B&B in Manzanares el Real close to the park of La Pedriza. Free WiFi and parking. Basic breakfast included in the price.
This is a great B&B, location close to the La Pedriza National Park is fantastic. From the B&B one can easily walk to the little town of Manzanares el Real to find restaurants and shops. The room we had was very nice and clean with a nice bathroom. What was disappointing was the breakfast. It doesn't get any more basic than this. One cup of lukewarm coffee, upon demand a small beaker of orange juice and toast. That is it. Frugal to say the least. i would strongly advice the owner to charge 2 euro per night more and then give some decent coffee (a Senseo pad costs 0.08 euro/piece), maybe a bit of bread and a slice of cheese. Whatever. Anything will be better than what is now offered. This is really unfortunate as this poor early morning meal could leave a slightly bitter feeling. For minimal extra effort this place could be a 5star TripAdvisor rating.

We arrived at Mirador to find the place deserted. Eventually a friendly chap appeared but he wasn’t any help and went to get his wife. She appeared to have been disturbed from sleep and was very grumpy. She looked in the handwritten booking register and then told me that she didn’t have any rooms and I had booked for the day previously so had missed my stay. Thankfully I was able to show her the booking.com confirmation. She then had a little think and said she had a room for us. We all went outside where my children and our dog were. The woman then said ‘no dogs!!’. Again I was able to prove on booking.com that I had specifically requested to bring the dog, they advertised as being dog friendly AND I had an email back from Mirador saying they could accommodate the dog. I wasn’t happy at all at this point. We were shown to a room that I could only describe as a sauna. The lady said the dog could only sleep outside. The room was basic but reasonably clean and did have Aircon. We slept ok and got up around 8 to go for breakfast only to be told that breakfast wasn’t served until much later. We just left at this point. Not happy at all.
