Following a golf outing at nearby Cypress bend Resort, our group stopped at Fisherman's Galley for lunch before the drive back to the Houston area. Almost everyone had the delicious fried catfish lunch. It was very tasty and had generous portions. I had green beans and something called "corn nuggets" for sides. They were delicious breaded & fried “pods” containing kernels of corn. Unusual but very good, not unlike the "corn fritters" my mother used to make when I was growing up. The salad bar, one-pass which came with the meal, was very nice with quite a bit of "fixings". Great comfort food stop.

Food is pretty good, but in more than one occasion we ha e been there and they are our if various items: ice cream once, chicken once, Nachos once. They sometimes close early in Sunday nights when they start running out of things.

This store has a little of everything. Fishing lures, clothes, life jackets, fishing poles, crickets and ice and on the other side you can get food, drinks and alcohol. They have a little place where you can order burgers and pizza and other foods. I have never eaten at the little restaurant but I have heard that the burgers are very good!! You can get your fishing license here and gas!! This store is always very busy!

We were staying at the Resort and decided to try the restaurant. We were sure glad that we did! We ended up eating there 3 times! Mary and Alex were superb waitresses and kept our drinks refilled and answered questions about the resort and Toledo Bend Lake. We tried the Spinach Salad, the Gumbo, the Hamburger and the Chef Salad! Everything was tasty and we thought the prices were really fair! Thank you Cypress Bend Restaurant! We will be back!

First visit, and I ordered a catfish platter. Everything was quite good.
Service was relatively fast, and I noticed that if not otherwise occupied, employees were busy cleaning; a good sign.
The menu includes chicken, shrimp, oysters, and catfish. Next visit, want to try the stuffed shrimp.

My son order the lunch special which was the Hamburger Steak. For $6.99 he good a nice steak and three side. My wife ordered a Chicken Salad Sandwich. I order the Burger combo for$5.99, which included fries and drink. The meat was maybe 1/3 pound and very tasty. The fries had a Cajun seasoning on them and were very good. I could have gone to any fast food place and had a burger that was not near as good. Try this place I think you will like it. Try to go early as seating is limited. There were many people coming in and picking up order they had called in.

At the heart of Toledo Bend Lake, we provide authentic and delicious Mexican food for all ages - from Fajitas to Hamburgers. We have signature Margaritas made in house, and an eclectic array of adult beverages to choose from. So whether you are on vacation, needing a break from the lake's festivities, or a resident in the local community, Hacienda El Jimador will have something for you!
Decent food, huge portions! Ordered the chicken burrito, and couldn't finish it. Not sure if I ordered the best thing to judge this place from, as so many people recommended it from Hemphill and we just weren't really seeing it firsthand as to why. Margaritas were good, so that's a plus! Good chips and salsa.

I love Kims. There is nothing like it. Best oriental food I've ever had. Can't find anything to top it! I usually get the buffet. Fried rice and the egg rolls are a must. They call the egg rolls something different but I don't know how to spell it. Worth eating here EVERYDAY.

Just don't. First off all, if you cannot have margaritas with your Mexican food, then why bother? Although I can blame that on the town and not the restaurant. Second, it is just not good. It's right next to the Starlite Motel, which makes it seem perfect (the motel is great) but just don't eat there. I adore Mexican food. I steer so far clear of this place. I have done so for many years, even giving it another chance twice, just to see. No. No..... don't go there. Each time I went, people were polite. It was clean. It's just the food is boring and blah. Those chips have to go. I have never attempted to eat the leftovers from each of my visits. I am sorry to the managers for sounding mean, but it's just the way TripAdvisor is... we tell our own experiences honestly, for that is the point.
