I was most impressed with the place. My family stayed two nights. We had kids and a dog. It suited five people in the two-bedroom lodge, no. 8 (Honeyeater), it was spotless, well-looked after. There was a dog yard behind each lodge. All bed linen, towels and soap, as well as kitchen utensils and crockery, were provided. The bathroom worked as expected. The owners obviously were proud of the property. The lawn, which the lodges overlooked, was half-mown - Jude apologized that it was work in progress - and we could use the canoe and kayaks in the dam. It's a place we want to come back to.

Truffles Forest Escape is just a hop, skip and a jump from Perth, the PERFECT weekend getaway. The house is beautiful, there is nothing that Tracey (the hostess) has not thought of. You have a private wing of the house to yourself and complete privacy. There is a winery/cidery next door which is extra convenient but also a decent pub and a few other dining options which are walking distance. The breakfast is amazing! Thoroughly recommend and cant wait to go back

The Jarrah Forest Lodge offers 16 twin share and one family room with shared bathroom facilities. A large well equipped kitchen with a spacious dining room seating 25 people has a wood fire for chilly winter nights. There is a large entertainment area with table tennis table, an outdoor gazebo with barbeque and a volleyball court. It is 10min stroll from the centre of Dwellingup.
We had not visited the Forest Heritage Centre in quite a while. The last time we were there the building was looking very tired & run down but fortunately, thanks to recent Government funding, there have been a lot of changes. The Reception had been relocated, making it seem more inviting & welcoming. The high curved roof had been painted white, making everything seem light & bright. There is still an Art Gallery where the Exhibitions are constantly changing but all are of a very high standard. A gift shop stocks a variety of reasonably priced goods, all beautifully displayed. Probably the most obvious change was the new 'Blossom on the Paperbark Cafe'. We enjoyed Devonshire Tea, where we were offered a huge choice of loose leaf teas. They also had a selection of Australian Native Foods or as we call it 'Bush Tucker'! So for overseas tourists wanting to try Kangaroo Stew or maybe Crocodile or Emu sausages with Bush Tomato Relish - this is the place to visit! We were offered a taste of the sausages & they were delicious! We highly recommend it!

A whole fairytale village… self-contained beautifully renovated heritage cottages for 300 in a stunning forest setting close to Perth, function venues oozing character, a historic chapel & adventure adrenalin activities. Ideal for groups, school & church camps, weddings, conferences, corporate incentives, historical tours, festivals, events & functions. Cottages to suit all budgets.Best of all, all income goes towards our charity work with disadvantaged young people.
As a family we stayed in Darwin and Hudson Houses. Plenty of room. The fridge/freezer needed to be bigger. Unfortunately at 40 deg the air con kept tripping out. So we endured hours of stifling heat until the caretaker came to fix it. You need to take linen and towels. But overall we had a wonderful time.
