Il Forno in Manali offers authentic Italian cuisine, served in an exceptional apple orchard setting with stunning views of the Himalaya. The cottage built Circa 1860 in the Western Himalayan Kathkuni architecture style has both indoor & al-fresco seating.
The location, food, and service were impeccable. The sitting arrangement was also very good. We tried a wood oven pizza and we went after lunch and thought we won't be able to finish it. but the pizza was so delectable that we couldn't stop ourself from overeating. PS we:- myself and five years old son

They have renovated and expanded since I was here last year. The restaurant is much nicer, with an upstairs and, I believe, a rooftop terrace. I didn't go upstairs, but they did mention that I could sit outside if I liked. The menu is also expanded from what I remember. The quality of the food is still excellent. All I had was steamed vegies with lemon and olive oil and some mint tea, but even that was perfectly done with a good variety of fresh vegetables. They have a nice reading shelf where you can borrow books while you are there. I was able to plug in my laptop, though they don't offer wifi. The kitchen has big windows and you can see how clean and professional everything is. The staff are so friendly, too. The outside is still pretty unassuming, but they did put up a larger sign.

Probably the only Italian restaurant in Kullu. Quite famous with the locals. Went their with a friend for lunch. Outside seating is better with a good view. You can also hear the river flowing next to this place. Food is average. Pizzas were good and so was the garlic bread. Also ordered for spaghetti in pesto which was not upto the mark at all. Menu pricing slightly high for the place and the city.

20 Years of Experience in Italian Style Food We build this Restaurant for Our Customers, we know they like familiar service and confortable situation. Sure the Best Food in Local Himalayan Range. Came to Test Yourself...
Visited this place few hours ago and found it to be closed. It is in Prini and away from the main center of Manali city.As per the locals, the owners are not from Manali and so they open this place up only during tourist season (April end onwards till September or October maybe). So, disappointed again, as with few other restaurants that are ranked so highly here on Tripadvisor.. wonder why the owners don't advertise that they are open only at selected time of the year.. It would save so many people like me the hassle to drive all the way here and wonder where to go next.
