Reviews on Spanish food in Managua, Managua Department, Nicaragua. Six thousand years ago, human footprints were left in the volcanic mud along the shores of Lake Managua. Preserved over centuries, these footprints can be seen at The Museum of Acahualinca in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. In addition to the footprints and impressive collections of pre-Colombian artifacts in the city's museums, Managua has much more to offer. The Tiscapa Lagoon Natural Reserve is a watery retreat within the city, with bars, shops, ziplines, and a canopy ride with views of downtown.

We had the Best dining and breakfast experience at Azul restaurant in Managua. They are professional and courteous. We loved our food. Chef David makes a combination of French food with a Nicaraguan flair, it adds a special touch. The meat is so tender that it melts in your mouth and the flavors are delicious. Breakfast was authentic Nicaraguan food at its best. The food is just superb!! If you haven't been, you're missing out. You must go and check it outâ¦it will be an unforgettable experience!! I can't wait to be back!! ;)

park the truck, The rancho is vibrating with action. Huge mounds of different cookies on either side, a vendor musically selling cds, and at the back you see the outlines of three ladies feverishly preparing the famous quesillos, a tortilla with fresh local cheese in a creamy onion dressing poured into the tortilla, served with fresco de cacao. The owner or a relative hawk eyed sits beside them and he or she takes your money. You cannot say its expensive. There are some tables or they pack them to go. For the very timid you can have a coke!!If you travel between Managua and Leon, you should stop and enjoy this experience.

Really great atmosphere and you´re not treated like a tourist, either. Very safe and easy to go from if you leave late at night. Most of the people there seem to be locals that know each other which makes for a great atmosphere.

Well, I've seen a batch of reviews on burgers. Thought it was a thai theme, but they did look good. So, had the ensalada thai. tasty, but lacked the hot spice I'd expect with thai and no graduation of spices or hotness. However, partner wanted chipotle salad and was warned it was spicy. Oh well, pays your money takes your chances. Good location. We sat in an open area. Nice venue, nice weather. So, they knew we were having an event, plus, there was a birthday party. 2 wait staff. That's a failure. Had to signal for service, too, which kind of annoys me. On the plus, great food, good area, quick delivery.

I visited this restaurant with a coworker and our driver. The atmosphere was really very nice and I could not have asked for a more comfortable first dinner in Managua. I ordered the Churrasco which, while exceedingly tasty, was a bit tough. The atmosphere though was more than enough to make up for it. I will be back. The best part was the man who gave us a charming serenade. One of those things you will remember for life.

Picanha Buffet is the only Brazilian Steakhouse in Nicaragua and the pioneer in selling food by the pound. We serve various cuts of beef, pork and chicken cooked to your preference and served straigth from the fire into your plate. You can get as much as
Nice ambiance, with a couple of first-time visitor issues, no big deal. It's a simple setup, come in, on the left are plates, utensils, and a self-serve area with rices, feijoada, yuca, salad stuff, etc. On the right is the real action, where you'll find the grill with the picanha and other meats. The chefs usually bring up each one and you let them know what you want. Just to the right side of there is a scale and cashier. You weigh the plate and they charge you about $7.55 per pound of food. You can also order your drink. You can give them a credit or debit card and they'll keep the tab and settle up when you are done, or you can decide to pay then and there. So that's how it's supposed to go. My experience was that, first, I wasn't shown all the meats, I said no chicken and that was the first two things shown me. Then the chef showed me a carne asada and I had a bit of that but come on, show me the good stuff! For example, if they have lamb I would have tried that. The famous picanha was delicious though. Only other slight fault was in getting the drink, I had to ask the manager to bring the lemonade, which was delicious. A kind of a capirinha (sic) without the booze. I'd go back, but I want to know all the meats first before I decide what to have.Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you, unfortunately we do not have lamb but the chef has to present all the cuts that we have (pork, beef and chicken) to every single guest. Thank you for your review that is the only way that we can be better, next time we are going to do a better job with the drinks. Hope to see you soon!!!

Located at the Gallerias Santo Domingo Mall in Managua. This is a typical Spanish restaurant with a nice setting and decoration. With A/C which is nice as Managua´s climate is hot. Neat tables setting with white tableclothes and everything in place. Good Spanish food like paellas, fish, seafood, etc. at good prices. About $10 per main dish. Food quality and amount is ideal. Recommended.

Normally, i wouldnt like a restaurant with no variety.....but more than likely if you go to a quesillo shop, you are probably going for one specific food.......quesillos. And El Pipe do quesillos well. Tasty, decently priced. hot and fresh. Right on the highway. would definitely recommend.

While I agree with another traveler that sangrias are not their best, I can vouch for their outstanding selection of wines, specially Riojas. Their paella is exquisite as is their Spanish tortilla and while my friends really enjoy their mariscada each time we go, my garlic shrimps are a must. This is another restaurant of my family and friends' choice at their Carretera Sur premises.
