Beach Glamping and Cabins ecolodge for adventures at Puerto Cayo - Ecuador. We offer glamping and cabin experience at the Beach, nature and adventure tours and manabi typical seafood.
It vas very possible to sleep on a bed inside a camp tent, absolutely a different experience. The place was clean, the weather inside was great, even though there wasn't a/c but they have this little fan, that helped to have fresh air inside. Everyone there were amazing, really nice and friendly, the tours they offer are very affordable and it was such a great experience! A place to go definitely!!

Hosteria Itapoa in Puerto Lopez, Ecuador is in the center of Machalilla National Park, and only lies 20 meters (65 feet) from the beach. The hostel set in a charming area surrounded by lush grounds. Our hotel is family run and much of the proceeds fund the Itapoa Reserve Rainforest Project, paying for conservation efforts and programs to protect the rainforest.
We rented a cosy cabaña with pvt bathroom and terrace. Great value for $50/n, it included free breakfast and WiFi. The friendly multi-lingual staff members were available to book our tour to isla de la plata, to answer with pleasure a couple of practical questions and they replaced the empty gas tank promptly with a new one for our individual water heating system. The owner is a charming Brazilian woman who loves what she does. One improvement we find that the quality of the breakfast could be a bit better (industrial bread & jam). Itapoa hostal is good value and great service!

It was fine place when I was staying there. The problem was - I left my backpack in the reception room where was CCTV and the owner is all the time inside. I took the tour and came back and I was late for a bus and roughly grabbed my backpack and left. What I figured out later - somebody went through my stuff and stolen some Peruvian money and souvenirs, including 2 tiny seashells what I just collected from the beach in Puerto Lopez. So the only place where my backpack wasn't with me was when I left it in that room. It was my fault to keep the Peruvian money in the backpack, but the thing what pisses me off - who the hell needs seashells at the beach? I could think it might happened somewhere before, but if the seashells gone it was in Puerto Lopez for sure, and only might happen in that place.
Hotel La Costa is a combination between resort and camping site. Beach is in front of the property. The site itself is a garden with glamping tents and bungalows. The facility is with the European standard while integrating local traditional materials and building techniques. Buses and taxis are frequent in front of the property. It is 5 km away from the centre of Puerto Lopez.
