No easy way to say this- the comforter on my bed had someone else’s blood on it- eww! It was late I was exhausted and warm as I couldn’t get the room to cool. So I pushed off the comforter and when I turned on the light saw the side next to my body- as it didn’t have a cover had dried blood! Yep- I had been sleeping with someone else’s blood next to me. I am still horrified. When I reported to the clerk in the am she said they would change. Well after 12 hours of work when I returned not only had the room not been touched but the bloody comforter was still there. The night desk clerk was nice and brought up new bedding which I had to make. She apologized and said they only had 2 house cleaners and did the best they could. I have been traveling for 20 years for work and this is the most unacceptable and sickening experience. It is a pandemic and this is the level of care you give to your guests? I will be staying in Exton as I will never stay at this hotel. Be warned travelers they dont have staff to actually assure your rooms are clean and dried blood on a white comforter is just nasty. Shame on you Courtyard. Good news I sent the pics to our company operations and they won’t be putting people up there anymore. Unlike you courtyard who doesn’t do the minimal to assure your guests are safe in a pandemic- Absolutely unacceptable- nasty and just disgusting.

I cannot say enough about the staff at the Desmond. Everyone was so kind, generous, helpful & beyond accommodating! The accommodations were clean & comfortable. The food at the rehearsal dinner was so delicious & our bartender was the most happy, lovely, personable woman I've ever met! I would recommend the Desmond for everything wedding related!

Stayed 2 days and I regret it! On the morning of the first day we found a bedbug crawling on my daughter's pillow. We took pictures of the bug and brought the now smash bugs downstairs and the manager agreed with our finding. They heat treated our clothes and put our luggage in plastic bags. They offered to move us but we declined. They offered us the president suite ( 2 BR suite.)Foolishly we agreed on this room and it was infested with ants that got in our sanwiches and the pool was full of SAND on the bottom. The only pro about this place was the manger was very nice and understanding about the problem and only charged us for one day of hell.

Had a complicated time with booking the hotel and had to speak with 4 different people about trying to set up an early check in as we were trying to get ready for a wedding somewhere. Don’t know why they tell you when you make the reservation that early check in is not an issue if the workers at the hotel have an issue accomodating it. We get there and Luis at the front desk kept making “jokes” that we had to leave good reviews everywhere or that he would charge us more money during our check in. We were in a rush and just wanted to get into the room to get ready. I feel that the employees should make it as comfortable and efficient as possible and that’s not what we received. We noticed our bathroom was dirty, especially the shower that I refused to step into. We arrived back at the hotel after the wedding celebration and get back to a bed that only has a sheet as a blanket and had to sleep with that for the night, so understand that we didn’t sleep well and we had a 5 hour drive ahead of us. The hotel smelled of cigarettes and weed. We leave to check out the following day and Luis is at the front and continued to state that we need to leave good reviews or to not leave one at all if we can’t give a perfect 10/10. Completely uncomfortable stay. Only stayed here because everything else had either been booked up or was expensive for 1 night. Visited the Hilton Garden Inn where all the other wedding guests were staying and wished we had stayed there because it was much better overall. Don’t stay at this place unless you don’t care where you stay.

This hotel has declined. We have been staying here since it opened 7 years ago. Now we found dried food on the carpet and stained towels in our room. The paper products are the cheapest available. They used COVID as an excuse to cut back the complementary breakfast, even dropping a lot of the self serve items. We have stayed in other hotels during COVID. Breakfast doesn’t have to be so limited. The bath tubs are not slip resistant. The previous manager provided rubber tub mats. This manager got rid of them. What is still good about this hotel? There is plenty of hot water, and the beds are decent. The front desk has some great people, especially Andrew. As much as we like the location , we will look for alternative hotels next time.
