Reviews on Cafe food in Punta del Este, Maldonado Department, Uruguay. Punta del Este is known as the St. Tropez of Uruguay, thanks to its beautiful beaches, upscale resorts and swanky nightclubs. The Vegas-style Conrad Casino adds to the lively entertainment scene. For a break from surf and sand, saddle up with a local gaucho and ride horseback through the wild plains surrounding the city.

If you happen to be in Punta del Este and need a place to work from, StartUp M3 or Startup Cowork Cafe is hands down your best option. It's conveniently located in the peninsula, walking distance from anything you may need. A block away from the ocean.I needed a place to work for a week and I found the cowork space to be very reasonably priced (an uncommon thing in Punta del Este in general), with lots of natural light, big tables, excellent internet speeds, and a large air conditioner, which comes very handy in the summer! The cowork has an upper floor which has a large meeting room with large screen TV in case you need to meet someone, or simply take a business call and don't want to bug others.Dayana, the coordinator, was always super nice and willing to help. The other folks in the cowork were all very friendly. The Cafe was also very good. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The coffee (espresso), the croissants, and lunch options were all really good. And you don't even have to go somewhere else, it's right there! Their ceviche is highly recommended! If I'm back in Punta and need to get connected, no doubt, I've found my place!

Chivipizza is a remake of the classical Uruguayan's "ChiviterÃa" or "PizzerÃa". Owned and managed by its owners has grown from a tiny delivery business to a chain of 4 restaurants where you can taste the best Uruguayan "Chivito" (beef tenderloin sandwich)
Went there last night following friends' recommendation. Our party of three went for meat dishes. I took a Texas burger. My companions both ask for "chivito" (a very typical Uruguayan grilled meat sandwich). The burger came very well done, almost burnt, despite my request for a medium cooking. It was not a problem of language as Spanish is my native tongue. The food came very salty and almost cold. Chivitos were inedible. May be it wasn't my lucky day. People flock to this restaurant and usually very long lines mean a considerable wait for a table. Prices are correct. I might give them a second chance, with pizza maybe, and try to understand what the fuzz is all about.
