Found this after recommendations from colleague. It was almost full on a weekday night. Promising. The fried rice was good. Liked the pork with salted eggs. Thai style fish good too. Kailan stir fried with salted fish a must try. However the Marmite chicken a let down, no Marmite taste, just tasted sweet black sauce. Bill came to MYR 185 with 3 big bottles of Heineken.

Restoran Ocean seems to be the most popular chinese restuarant among the Chinese community in Kuala Terengganu. We were invited to three dinners in the very same restaurant within the week of our visit. The food and service were decent, but had nothing to shout about. A good place in Kuala Terengganu if you crave for decent chinese food in a Muslim state.

We only ate here once for dinner, which was pleasant but we did stop by for their tasty juices and smoothies a few times. The staff were friendly and the desserts were good, including chocolate and coffee mousse cake and Oreo cheesecakes!!

The place is very quaint, located away from the bustling main road from Kuala Trengannu leading to Kuantan. The homely atmosphere is backed by a really good welcome and service. The owners Mr and Mrs Lee are great hosts. Good selection of food and drinks and music
I had the curry mee. It's quite flavorful. While it might not be the best curry mee ever, it's a pretty good one. The price is quite reasonable too. Highly recommended.

My first time eating âKetam Bakarâ the signiture dish of Chukai. About 3.2 hrs drive from Kuala Lumpur. This is a seafood restaurant , run by local Trengganu Chinese. Clean surrounding and the food is excellent and professionaly presented. Value for money and worth trying.

Our group of seven had six dishes with rice and drinks. Our bill came to about RM138, so averaging about RM20 per person. We thought it was reasonably priced as the servings were large. Food taste was generally above average. We especially liked the deep fried calamari with salted egg. The least liked dish was the lemon chicken. We were there after the lunch hour crowd has dissipated so service was quick.

Went there for two nights in a row.The first one we couldn't order seafood as it was finished and it is almost the time for the restaurant to close. We can only order western cuisines (Chicken Chops and Grilled)The second time we came much earlier to order the seafood dishes. The food was awesome. I even add another plate of rice.Total for 3 person with lots of dishes (7 types; Chicken, Fishes and Vegetables) including drinks around rm94.50 only. The staff there is very friendly and easy to communicate.

Probably the cheapest restaurant on this part of the island, offering really good value Thai and Chinese meals. Western food is a little more hit and miss. Still not cheap compared to the mainland but still possible to get a plate of filling food for under $5.
