Fresh fish is BBQ'd every evening, it's done with less drama than the restaurant next door who make a real spectacle of it and as such attract more people, but don't be fooled Mama's fish is just as good. TOP TIP - look for the Banana bread at the kiosk where you pay, it's the best! all in all the food is simple here but very good and the service is much better than next door. well worth a try.

Gorgeous beach ,crystal clear water and well maintained property. We booked the garden chalet and it was okay- nothing impressive but not disappointing either. Although there was a serious lack of privacy breach when our neighbour knocked on the inside door of our room and we both realised that the chalets are adjacent and that doorway is the divider between those 2 rooms! So we literally could hear everything happening in the next room and that is a dealbreaker since we had no prior information on that. Food was the real let down factor for us. Everything was bland and overpriced. Local taste was missing. We ordered "Pandan Coconut" priced at RM 15 and it turns out to be just a regular coconut, also the barbecue platter should not be called barbecue! If you are interested in exploring local cuisine ,take a water taxi and head towards Fisherman Island and have dinner there.Bydway, you can get huge coconuts with water and tender pulp at just RM7 ! Hope it helps :)

We stayed at Crocodile Rock Villas for 4 nights and ate breakfast and dinner here during our stay. Very nicely prepared and presented fusion-type food we can highly recommend. the food here, from grilled fish, burgers and home-made ice cream is a notch above many other places on the island! Check it out!!

We find this restaurant nearby our hotel and can warmly recommended. The restaurant himself is nothing special but the food is very tasty and local. Made with care and proud. The team are very friendly and helpful. They have also a small market if you want coke or ships to take back to the hotel. The prices are very local in comparison with the hotel who will take 5 times more for the same dish but poorer in flavours. Try the steamed baramundy fish with ginger and lemon or the squids with black pepper or even the fried vegetables or spinach with garlic or oysters sauce and you will come for more.

Went there for two nights in a row.The first one we couldn't order seafood as it was finished and it is almost the time for the restaurant to close. We can only order western cuisines (Chicken Chops and Grilled)The second time we came much earlier to order the seafood dishes. The food was awesome. I even add another plate of rice.Total for 3 person with lots of dishes (7 types; Chicken, Fishes and Vegetables) including drinks around rm94.50 only. The staff there is very friendly and easy to communicate.

Probably the cheapest restaurant on this part of the island, offering really good value Thai and Chinese meals. Western food is a little more hit and miss. Still not cheap compared to the mainland but still possible to get a plate of filling food for under $5.

Chalets are reasonably clean, comfortable with basic amenities. Focused on diving and sea activities thus no swimming pool. Wifi weak in chalets but reasonably good in public places. Suitable for family holiday to enjoy fresh air, sunshine and sea based activities away from social media. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Basic no frills beach Cafe we trekked here a few times from where we were staying at the Barat because the food was delicious and authentic local. The banana milkshakes were amazing as were the very unusual lime shake that our children ordered tasted like a cheesecake was delicious. Rice and noodles were delicious as were the curries
