Let me preface my review by indicating that I had eaten at this location many times when it was the Boot And Buckle restaurant. And my meals had mostly been breakfast and lunch. We had been told by a friend that on Fridays and Saturdays they featured Prime Rib; one of my favorites. When we entered we noticed that all the booths were gone and replaced by tables along the wall. What we particularly noticed was the noise level. The bar is right there in front of you with people doing what they do at bars; drinking and having a good time. There is nothing wrong with that but we were expecting more of a restaurant atmosphere and not a bar atmosphere. The meal was delicious, the service was great, but there are at least two to three other places where I can have my full of prime rib at a much lower decibel level.
The new menu is great! We had an order of fried pickles which was the largest basket of anywhere we have had them for a very reasonable price. Also had haddock nuggets which were also very good! Great job!

We stayed at the Brunswick Inn and walked here for dinner! Good selections ... Ordered too much though! Buffalo cheese fries, mozzarella sticks (substitute chipotle ranch for the marinara - yum), cowboy burger and haddock basket! Burger cooked to order (bec I like medium and not a hockey puck) perfectly and fish was terrific! There were people playing pool and adequate TVs around! Prices were reasonable and service (KASEY) was excellent!!

Couples night , looked for and found good food and service. Beer selection was high-end and reasonably priced. The BLT salad with Chicken was very, very good. Bacon corn chowder was good, but could be kicked up a notch. Atmosphere was very clean, quiet, good waitstaff and lovely sunset over the Androscoggin. Total bill for two plus drinks and appetizer was around 60 with tax. We will be back.

Candlepin bowling is great...food was just OK. We ordered the Nachos. The plate was reasonably sized for the price but the toppings were meager and limited. No black olives, no fresh tomatoes, not much meat and cheese was incompletely distributed. I know this is not fine food but maybe that is the point. If you can't nail a nacho platter order...then what. The beer selection was great and the staff courteous and helpful. Bad day?

Hard to find at first, since itâs actually in the basement. Fun college atmosphere, friendly owners, good Mexican food... the nachos are plentiful. Interesting margaritas... try the Tarantula, itâs delicious! Steak tip stir fry is my go to.. full of tender beef and fresh veggies. Trivia night is Thursday so expect it to be crowded. We havenât won yet, but we keep trying!

Second location of a favorite local watering hole with great beer and food!
Four of us went to lunch and sat out side. My "Destroyer" sandwich was delicious. Open faced thin sliced pastrami on rye with Thousand Island dressing, coleslaw, tomato and melted Swiss, Kettle chips and pickle ($10.00). My well drink was $4,25....so I had two! Reasonable and good!

Not only did Sea Dog offer excellent fresh brew choices, they offered other drinks as well. We took away a Growler of the Blueberry and a Cider. The food was amazing and offered something for everyone, many local choices and the expected comfort foods on the menu. A great scenic view as well.

Stopped in for a quick lunch before an appointment. Sat at the bar. Jen E waited on us and she was excellent. I had the lobster roll, superior. Husband had the Chamberlain burger and said it was excellent. We told Jen we had an appointment to make and she brought our check with meal. Next time weâll go earlier so we donât have to hurry. The ambience at the bar was so friendly, we chatted with other patrons and Jen and will definitely go back.
