Stopped for dinner and had the Chop Steak. My wife had the steak bomb. Both very good and the owner was very pleasant and we chatted about southern restaurants. Sadly he is seasonal but will be back in the late spring.

I joined a group of business-women last night for a meeting and a meal at Skywalkers in Machias. The conversation was lively, the food was delicious, and the decor, while in transition at the moment, promises to be creative when complete.

The Thirsty Moose was closed for a few years and recently reopened and it's better now than what it used to be. This is not someplace that you wold take children to. The language can get a bit rough. The atmosphere is similar to what you'd see in those old Dirty Harry movies. Good place to stop for a quick beer.

Gas station food at it's finest!! Grease bombed food. I ordered chicken tenders and fries for children and fish and chips for myself. We needless to say food was greasey nasty mess. I could have clogged arrtery just eating fish and chips. Mentioned to cashier she tells me I can't do anything about it the OWNER isn't here. I was so overwhelmed I paid for grease mess we left threw in trash and walked out. McDonald's would have been better. Not a 5 gas station.

Not much in the area and the reviews were good. Had a salad and a 9â pizza, both to split. They have a bunch of different specialty pizzas and we were happy with the one we chose. Got in and seated, not too busy on a Sunday night. Be aware Trip Advisor has the hours wrong, only open till 8p on Sun

Stopped here for lunch while visiting in the area. The lobster roll was delicious, full of lobster meat. Onion rings were good, and root beer floats too. Super-friendly staff, and they gave us a free cup of ice cream for our dog. Also had free dog biscuits and water for visiting pooches.
