We stopped in n around 230 for late lunch.I had heard the food was good, but was surprised to find not only good but priced very reasonable. We ordered the cobbler turkey, stuffing,& cranberry sauce . Sandwich was big enough for 2 meals.Same with fish and chips special for $10.00, used leftover to make get tasty fish chowder. Fish was fresh hadack very lightly breaded. They have tables outside also table in former greenhouse.Easy parking. Staff is pleasant and quick.

First impressions mean a great deal. When we arrived in the parking lot, we noticed a restaurant that was meticulous in every detail. Perfectly groomed flower beds out front, well-maintained flower boxes in the windows, and a spotless appearance from the exterior. When entering, the interior is spotless as well. Clean floors, immaculate tables, and spotless chairs. The dining room is tastefully decorated. Then the service - absolutely friendly, and professional. The menu was extensive, and we enjoyed the prime rib and sirloin steak. Delectable! Served with steamed broccoli and perfect baked potatoes. There are only two places where the prime rib is this good. The Whip in Stowe, Vermont, and Eddie's Supper Club in Great Falls, Montana. Go here for not just steak, but seafood too. It's obvious the night we were here that this is where the locals go for great dining out. We were the only out-of-state guests in the entire dining room.

Just what we needed mid-way through our drive to the Maine coast. Friendly service and friendly locals make this a very comfortable place for a casual meal. French onion soup with a fancy grilled cheese sandwich were very good. They even had a decent wine selection!

Moody's Diner has been a Moody family tradition for over 90 years. Located on Route 1 in Waldoboro, Maine and serving locals as well as those from "away" since 1927.
A Maine tradition for over 90 years and food and service is why. Had not been here for many years and it was still a substantial delicious meal and great service. Mane sure you have the pie or take some to go as it is unbelievably good. Stop by if anywhere in the area and if there is a line, its worth waiting.

Experience where the locals eat! Captain's Fresh Idea Restaurant was founded in 1987 with the goal in mind to serve fresh food good enough to be called "Wicked Good." Customers are welcome to come in and be seated in our comfortable dining room or our new
Absolutely the best seafood I have ever had, and I live here! 7 oz. lobster roll with fries, which were crisp, hot and perfectly cooked, tasty lobster roll, fried clam strips, fried shrimp, everything was wonderful! Large squeeze bottles of ketchup, shrimp sauce and tartar sauce that I have never seen anywhere else, but needs to be done everywhere seafood is served. Becky & Gary are the best and their food is, in my opinion, the best Maine has to offer.HO LEE COW Thanks for the nice review Gary and I appreciate your kind words. Becky
