Came here on our last night in Maine for dinner with my family of 5. Our server was very nice and answered all questions. The warm bruschetta and the caprese appetizers were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their dinners not one person complained. The chef or someone from the kitchen staff actually comes out and gets herbs right from the garden and you can taste that freshness in their dishes. I normally donât order desert but thought Iâd try the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and it was well worth every calorie! Great atmosphere and I would definitely recommend

From Boston's Hidden Restaurants:"The Lompoc Cafe is one of my top ten favorite restaurants in all of New England. Everything about the place makes me happy, from the mellow vibe to the eclectic music to the outdoor dining and bocce court to the friendly
Ate at Lompoc Cafe last week- it was fantastic. Get the spicy Dijon Mussels- different and delicious. Super laid back vibe, not expensive, and a cool wait staff. Definitely recommend.

Established in beautiful downtown Bar Harbor, Maine in 2019, Salt & Steel is the first restaurant collaboration for owners and fiancees Chef Bobby Will and Kimberly Kraus. Our menu reimagines the freshest seasonal flavors of Maine in a playful and innovat
The restaurant is newish and not right in the center of Bar Harbor- we probably;y wouldn't have happened upon it if it hadn't been recommended. The service (our waitress was Huong, I think) was excellent. The menu was interesting. My sister decided to get the tasting menu which included skate. Being a vegan, and no obvious vegan options on the menu, I inquired about this and the chef was willing to make a vegan tasting menu for me also. The food was delicious and presentation so artistic! They had interesting cocktail choices also. A great find!

Since 1986 The Balance Rock Inn has been offering luxury accommodations for the summer season in Bar Harbor. The original restaurant begain in 1998 serving prix fixe dinner in our breakfast room. Although popular, we wanted to offer a service to complemen
We ate at the Veranda during our stay at the Balance Rock Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was cozy & romantic with low lighting and candles on the tables. Harry the bartender is enjoyable to chat with and knows his craft. We sat at a window table even though it was already dark, but had a view of the fire pit just outside. Their web site says small plates, but there are many gourmet choices which vary by season & market availability that appeal to foodies. Started with a 4 cheese sampler platter. The incredible & varied selection made it hard to choose. We settled on Rosemary Waltz - soft, creamy crumbles accented with rosemary & juniper berries, semi-hard Blueberry Windsordale, a fabulous Smokey Blue & Sage Derby, all served in a colorful arrangement with wild honey drizzle, roasted hazelnuts, micro chives & dried cranberries, making for a tasty adventure. Husband had hanger steak with roasted potato & vegetables & grilled apple. I had venison with pine ash with sweet potato puree & cranberry & pear puree. The pine ash was a little weird tasting. Unfortunately the down side was that the venison was overcooked & dry. I was never asked how wanted it cooked. Finished with a scrumptious dessert. My foodie self wants to eat here again. The Bar is open to the public as well.
