We availed the buffet and it was sumptuous..more for sweet tooths..as the menu or spread is from the bakery and laden with sweets...The ambiance needs a special mention..be it the gallery to the entrance or the seating ...an elaborate ensemble with finest linen to match the decor. Its definately recommended on a special occasion and if "high tea gets you high"..Happiness served on a plate...!!

Omg.. I'm short on words to describe my experience here. One of the best Sunday brunch in the city. The spread is huge, the service is great and the food is delicious. It is a little expensive, but totally worth every penny. The large dessert spread will give you a sugar rush. Such pretty cakes and pastries, Indian sweets..yum. You are spoilt for choices. The bread and cheese selection is excellent as well. Very few places serve Gruyere cheese and when I saw it here I was sold.If you love dimsums and sushi, then you are in for a treat. They have a great selection of Vegetarian as well as non Vegetarian Dimsums and sushi. Loved the spicy mushroom one.Salad freaks, you will be spoilt for choices. They have a huge spread of salads, make your own salads and dips too. 5 kinds of hummus to choose from.. can you believe it.Not forgetting the Chaat and Indian spread. They had delicious samosas too.The gnocchi was delicious too. Pastas and pizza and more.Beverages and alcohol at the bar.Asian spread, noodles, fried rice, Thai Curry, gravy too.12 flavors of Icecream to choose from. Isn't that great? They have a small play and activity zone for Children too. So while you're enjoying your meal the children can have some fun too once they are done eating.Totally worth it!1teaspoonlove recommendsFood-5/5Ambiance-4.5/5Vfm-4.5/5Service-4.5/5Return Index-5/5

OUR MISSION: At Candy & Green we choose love and we choose sustenance. Our goal is simple - to redefine what it means to live well. We strive to create a menu, events programme and environment that supports the happiness and wellness of both our guests an
Candy and Green is a casual dining + bar place in Breach Candy that serves Asian, Italian, Continental, and Healthy food. It also has Vegan, KETO, Gluten-Free and Jain options available. The restaurant has tied up with Zomato so Gold Members can avail 2+2 on drinks. They also have various Sunday brunch, Four-Course Lunch, Ladies Luncheon, the 'Quintessential' hours on drinks and other ongoing offers that one can avail. In terms of connectivity, the restaurant is at a 2.5 km distance from Mahalaxmi Station so one can take a cab from there.Ambience:-The restaurant has a contemporary decor and is quite spacious with comfortable seating and enough space on the aisle. The place is well lit with natural light coming through the white and green-tinted glass and also with a line of quirky and contemporary designed lights in the interiors especially the bar section which is the highlight of the place. I loved the vintage wallpaper used having pictures of different wines, make sure to check it out. Overall, the place is well organised, clean and the ambience is splendid.Service:-The manager and the staff members here are friendly and courteous. The table was managed by Mr. Sameer who was swift in his service and recommended us various dishes. Mr. Chetan who handles the bar made us some delectable mocktails and took our feedback as well. Overall, the serving of the dishes was prompt and the staff here is polite. Here's the list of dishes/beverages we ordered:-Beverages:-Hydrate: An invigorating watermelon based mocktail, also consisting of rose and basil seeds. The circular watermelon balls and leaves, on a stick, for a garnish adds an elegant touch to the drink.Activated Charcoal Lemonade: This drink is a unique and delectable mocktail having a great blend of ginger lemonade and charcoal powder that leaves a piquant and refreshing after taste. I can't recommend it highly enough.P.S. The mocktails were served with steel straws, and not the plastic ones, which was really impressive. More restaurants should follow this.Salad:-Crunch Thai Salad: The well presented and healthy Thai salad was a great start to the luncheon. The salad bowl comprised of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, chickpea, crispy tortilla chips, purple cabbage, sliced bell peppers, and kale. One has the option to also mix creamy peanut sauce which came along in a small bowl. Though the lettuce tasted a bit sharp, the overall taste with the mix of peanut sauce was delicious.Starters:-Loaded Hummus: This is by far the most flavourful and creamy hummus I've tasted in Mumbai. The quantity of hummus was adequate; it was topped with pomegranate, feta cheese, scallion, and crunchy nuts which made it flavorsome. It was served along with two soft pita bread made at Candy and Green itself. A morsel of bread wrapped in hummus will literally melt in your mouth; it's just too good. Overall, the scrumptious dish was the highlight of the luncheon.Kale Chip Chaat: The fried, crunchy and crispy kale topped with yogurt, moong, pomegranate, tamarind sauce; garnished with 'sev' and coriander, made for an absolutely toothsome dish. Again, a unique and well-presented dish which you should definitely taste. Props to the chef for this one.Mains:-Superfood Burrito Bowl: The goodness of  Mexican style beans, quinoa rice with corn, a delish mix of chopped bell peppers, shredded kale leaves and the garnishing of cheese is sure to satisfy your taste buds. It's perfectly cooked and is quite filling. The best way to savor this healthy dish is to mix it well first. The Superfood Burrito Bowl is definitely a stand out dish in the main course and I'd highly recommend it.Dessert:-Cheat Day Brownie Sundae: Since their elaborate menu comprises mostly of healthy food, a cheat day dessert option here is definitely a once in a while sinful indulgence. It's served in a huge mug filled with luscious chunks of brownie, covered in a generous amount of chocolate sauce, wafer stick chocolate and topped with vanilla icecream along with sprinklers. It's a dessert delight which is rich in taste and definitely the best way to end the luncheon. Highly recommended! In conclusion, the amazing ambience, splendid service, and scrumptious food are sure to make your luncheon/ dining experience worthwhile. The place has an abundance of offers and options to choose from which makes it a must-visit with friends and family!Overall rating: 5/5Smakelijk Eten.

THE EARTH PLATE-GLOBAL CUISINE EXPERIENCE THE CULTURE FROM AROUND THE WORLD Featuring a selection of Italian, Mediterranean, French, Tex-Mex and Far-Eastern delicacies along with Indian regional favourites, The Earth Plate is Sahara Star's global cuisine
We visit The Earth Plate quite often because of the multi themed Sunday Brunches. There's loads of variety (including vegetarian) for every palate. This month we were pleasantly surprised with the addition of the Seafood Grills station which serves Pomfret, Lobsters, salmon and more.Yummy.The Lebanese chef outdid himself this time. Juicy Sheekh kebabs, melt in your mouth Djajaj(chicken) steamed rolls and succulent, perfectly seasoned shawarma...Love letter to Lebanon ! The Executive Chef makes sure to have a station dedicated to South Indian cuisine which offers up the most delicious, spicy and tangy curries served with steaming hot appams and various rice preparations. If you though Idli and Dosa represent the south (as all Mumbaikars are guilty of) you will be licking the gravy off your fingers nodding happily in agreement that the south at Sahara Star has a lot to offer the gourmand in you.A deep bow to the Asian Station represented with Dim Sum's (prawn, chicken) , Sushi, Prawn torpedoes , khow suey and the regular Rice , Noodles & Gravy. There's lots of variety in the Continental, Cold cuts , Pizza & pasta. The North Indian stations are another highlight with melt in your mouth Galouti kebabs,Tanddori meats ,Dum biryanis and meat gravies full of Spice & Zing.Simply SpicZing !The ring leader and chief facilitator is Mr.Prakash Balsara. He's the bedrock of hospitality at the Sahara's Earth Plate so reach out to him if you need something.Hand in Glove in delighting you is Chef-De-Cuisine Mr.Rupesh Khandekar. He's the one overseeing the magical culinary spread in the desert island of the Sahara Star. Quiet ,calm and ready to delight. We are thankful for both for making every visit just as unique as the last one.Hot Tip:Dont forget to take a lazy stroll around the lush curated oasis once you finish your brunch. It's truly unique as locations go.Room for improvement :The grilled seafood station is a recent addition and therefore there will need to be some improvisations to make it go from Great to Fantastic. The meats could definitely use a variety of spice rubs with options of Goan,Malwani,Bengali marinades. As of now they suffer from the same problems the grills have from Lake view Cafe at the Renaissance, salty and lightly covered in the burnt remains of the frying pan.I'd suggest the Chef takes inspiration from the grills served at the 022 Trident. They're perfect. We continue to be happy patrons at the Earth Plate and hope you will set your compasses to point towards the Sahara Star on Sundays. See you soon.Behram & Melanie PatelDear Mr. Patel ,Greetings from Hotel Sahara Star!!We thank you for choosing The Earth Plate â The Global Cuisine Restaurant as your preferred meal destination in Mumbai and our endeavor is to provide all our guests a memorable experience with a mix of most delectable cuisines from across the globe. We are pleased to receive such inspiring words from you which have further encouraged our entire team to provide enhanced services to all our esteemed guests. We once again take this opportunity to thank you for your valuable feedback and look forward to welcome you to Sahara Star in the near future.Warm Regards & Sahara Pranam,Amit Ganpuley,Food and Beverage Manager
