Alekos and Dina Ntourmpali have chosen the Byzantine name of Portaria -Dryanouvaina- for their traditional accommodation. They ensure that you will have pleasant moments by creating a family environment with warm and friendly hospitality. The accommodation is made by wood and stone and is decorated with embroidery and other traditional staff, creating a sense of travelling to old times. The common areas, which are the living room with its fireplace, the sitting room and the kitchen, are ideal places for relaxation and family/friends communication. Respect for tradition is combined harmoniously with premium modern equipment, providing all the conditions which make the stay a memorable experience. The cozy atmospheric rooms, lined with wooden ceilings and decorated with hand-woven, are equipped with double or twin beds, private bathroom, TV and central heating. We offer you, at no cost and at the time you wish, wonderful homemade breakfast with regional specialties. Specifically, breakfast includes homemade jams and sweets (based on fruits), delicious pies (based on local seasonal ingredients), fresh eggs, honey, cheese, butter, fruits, milk, coffee, tea etc. Among others, our traditional accommodation stands out for its dominant position and the magnificent panoramic view, which is an ideal source of inspiration. From the balcony or through the windows you can admire the natural beauty of the mountain of Centaurs - Pelion - as well as the port of Volos. Villa Dryanouvaina is located: 328 km from Athens 218 km from Thessaloniki 12 km from Chania skiing centre 49 km from Skiathos Island 2 km from Makrinitsa 26 km from Volos Airport (Nea Anchialos Airport). You deserve to live your dreams again and again!
We stayed for three nights at the end of April/start of May in the room at the back. There are only three rooms, all opening onto a shared living room and shared kitchen. The landlady, Ntina, treated us so well, like family, so we had a great time. The location is on the edge of the village so quiet and easy to park nearish. But you can walk the back paths into the centre of the village. The room is well appointed. Decent bathroom (with bath). No balcony but there is a nice seating area outside the front door. The breakfasts were lavish. The only downside was that the double bed wasn't particularly comfortable. Otherwise everything else was great. It would be a wonderful place for a large family or perhaps three couples (friends) to rent the entire place. But even when we were there we made good use of the kitchen and even sat in the sittingroom to read one evening.

Petradi Hotel is situated in the traditional village of Kalamaki. Make your reservation and experience memorable holidays.
This charming hotel has spacious, clean rooms and breathtaking views. The breakfast was lovely. Maria and Ms. Foli - the owner of the place - were very friendly. Nice location with a superb restaurant on a nearby square, a few minutes walk form the Petradi Hotel! We enjoyed the stay very much.

This is a lovely traditional guest house in a delightful spot right in the middle of a quiet village . You have to park a little distance away and walk down cobbled streets for a few metres but this just adds to the experience. We had a very warm welcome and our hostess even managed to rustle up a breakfast even though we hadn’t booked one The accommodation was plain but spotlessly clean and we really enjoyed our stay. We would most definitely stay again if we had the opportunity.

The room was great, kitchen, shower, Double bed bedroom and the small living room with the fireplace. The view was breathtaking. the Pelion mountain view with the sea at day and the stars at night. The landlord was very helpful and helped us with places to visit and gave us some great suggestions. He also makes the breakfast himself. If you visit you HAVE to try the white peach marmalade!!! And also the spinach and cheese pies.

Very nice indeed. The room was newly refurbished, with a mattress that made you want to sleep. The bathroom was gorgeous and it was all super clean. The people working there made the difference though, you leaved them all. The view from our room was spectacular! One thing I would like to see a bit better was maybe breakfast, which was good, but could be better.

Picked Opalio after extensive search on the internet. Our apartment was right at the top of the accommodation with beautiful views from the balcony. The apartment was immaculate and spotlessly clean. Reasonable Wi-Fi reception and good air con. Parking was on the road outside on the one way system but being on the top floor we could virtually step out of the car into our apartment. Owners very friendly and helpful. There is a well lit path from the accommodation down to the sea and Tavernas. Easy going down but a little more difficult climbing up at the end of the evening although there is a strategically placed bench around half way up where you can catch your breath.

A wonderful place to stay . We had a downstairs room with private garden room . I think the setting was perfect. A nearby beach with 3 restaurants on the shore where you can get a table on the beach at night. We stayed on for an extra night and rearranged the scooter hire and ferry easily. One of our favourite places to stay on the islands.
