Tronco Burrito is a "make your own" burrito/taco/nacho with a configuration similar to chains such as Chipotle and Qdoba in the United States. They do serve beer as well as soft drinks (several cold coca colas go best with the burrito). You elect whether you're going to have a burrito/taco/nacho and then, get to choose the fillings/toppings you'd like. What sets this establishment apart (and well above) the others is the use of al pastor chicken. Deliciously flavored, not too mild not too spicy, and juicy as can be. I got the burrito with the al pastor chicken, black beans, cilantro rice, veggies, lettuce, cheese+sour cream, salsas and their nacho cheese (+costs extra but nothing good in life is free). Again they stand out because of their salsa, which do not hold back in flavor or heat (they have 3 levels: mild/medium/hot) and are a blended salsa for smooth consistency. I got the spiciest and loved it, as it was not overwhelming but accentuated the flavors within the burrito as well as added heat. As a lover of all things nacho cheese i took the risk and got their jalapeno cheddar cheese sauce (comes in a squirt bottle), and was not dissappointed at all, great cheesey flavor, mild spice, and combined with the sour cream: creates a dynamic of cool and creamy versus the hot and spicy that comes with the al pastor+ hot sauce. My mouth is actually watering as I recount this and my greatest disappointment was finding out that Santa Marta is one of the only locations (their cartagena location closed). If this establishment was in the states, or elsewhere in Colombia I would have eaten here many, many, more times.

This chain has been famous in the country for having excellent products and excellent service. Unfortunately, this is one exception. I got really dissappointed by the low quality of the products served by this restaurant. The french fries were overfried but tasted stale! The salad did not taste fresh. Besides, being the ONLY ONE customer at the place, I had to wait for 23 minutes for them to serve the food (salad and a burger)!

Small vegetarian cafe. Serves organic coffee from Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Offers omelette, homemade yogurt without additions, granola, pancakes and fruits for breakfast, and different vegetarian burgers, wraps, quesadillas, arepizzas and salads opti
Small restaurant with three tables for 4 people inside and some tables outside (bit to hot during the day with the sun). Inside you have air-conditioning! Ofcourse wifi and really sweet staff working. The two ladies were always friendly to answer our questions and made the most delicious juices and food. We loved the coffee. We enjoyed the breakfast with pancakes and homemade jam, yoghurt with granola! And we took always the same lunch items, couscous and the quinoa burger, excellent.

Because there were so many interesting options that I had a difficult time choosing just one particular burger. When my burger with pineapple arrived, it was accompanied by a generous serving of thick, tasty fries. No I did not need mayo or catsup, the fries were fine just nekked. The tasty burger, fries and a beer will set you back 26,000 pesos ... not a bad deal at all. Ah, they have an inside eating option ... always choose this in Santa Marta; otherwise you will spend 3/4 of you meal warding off all the street vendors.

Definitely one of, if not my favorite place to wine and dine in Rodadero! View from the outside is spectacular and the music is in keeping with that Latin Tropical culture you would expect and love from Colombia! Very Salsaesque!
