Hartbeespoort, informally also known as "Harties", is a small resort town in the North West Province of South Africa, situated on slopes of the Magaliesberg mountain and the banks of the Hartbeespoort Dam. The name of the town means "gateway of the hartbees" (a species of antelope) in Afrikaans. It was previously known as Schoemansville, named after General Hendrik Schoeman, a Boer General in the Anglo-Boer War, who owned the farm that the Hartbeespoort Dam was built on.

Come and join us for an amazing day at the all new buffalo bar and grill at chameleon village hartbeespoort dam. Divine plated roast sunday lunch. Outrageous cocktails. Funky music. Awesome vibe. Splendid day out for the whole family.
This is a typical tourist trap in Chameleon Village. Arrived lunch time for some light snacks on a Monday. Waiter brought us the full steak house menu. It was only when I started remonstrating that we were advised that indeed toasted sandwiches were available. On checking the bill it appeared expensive for what we had had. Then I noticed that a 12% service fee had already been included. On reflection I should have created again & requested a bill excluding this charge. (As it was the drinks were quite expensive before 12% added!)

We went there about 5pm on a Saturday and there was a medium size crowd and they had some nice live music playing. There was a nice variety of seating available : outside near the stage, semi inside and inside. Waiter was good in getting our orders and overall service was good. The only disappointment was the beers available on the menu, the place's name contains the words "Brewing Company" and halve the beers were scratched of the menu. The flagship beer "Stilknocks" was not even available. At the end of the meal a manager came around and informed us of the great selection of craft beers inside at the bar. No mention on the menu and no word from the waiter. The food was well priced and decent portions. It was my first visit and I expected more. Will visit again

I ordered chicken strips and the food was very good. The service was good, however the restaurant didn't leave a lasting impression on me.
Had a lovely drive here. Once you have taken the turn off you meander through the bush. When you get to the venue the staff are very friendly. They have inside and outside dining. A swimming pool for summer and a fire place for winter. So peaceful, you can hear birds chirping. Menu is adequate. I will return to try out other dishes. Wood burning pizza oven. Live entertainment on weekends. Chips freshly made not frozen. Food tasty and good value for money. We will come here again. The only thing that is a down side is that you have to pay for take away containers. I find that off putting as I normally don't finish my food. At least it is up front and printed on the menu.

Craft Brewery and Tavern Restaurant with Aviation Decor. Turning dreams into reality, after traveling Europe in search for the best tasting beer and brewing equipment we loved the beer served in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We researched the process and found
A nice place for a weekend brunch, good pizzas and burgers and great beers (the red ale is particularly good) from their own brewery, lovely to sit outside over a lazy brunch listening to music and for the kids the excitement of a helicopter landing.

This is a great place for reasonable prices and good quality food with great views of the dam. You can also watch the para-gliders coming into land. The musicians playing are very good. The Sunday that we were there, the theme was country and western kind of style, which we enjoy. They have a so much space and ground, I feel they could improve the children's play area and/or add a jumping castle. Thanks for a most enjoyable day.

During our stay at Magaliespark we frequented this restaurant that had very good dishes to offer. They cater for all tastes and the kids love the pizza and pancakes. They are situated next to the golf course and is within walking distance from your chalet if you stay at Magaliespark. You can also order from the restaurant lounging next to the pool keeping a eye on the kids while they swim.

The restaurant is intimate and quirky, and offers seating on the balcony with an incredible 180 degree view of the surrounding Magalies Mountains and the Hartbeespoort Dam. The Gin Bar offers a wide variety of local and international gins. The kitchen cre
Stopped over for a Sunday lunch. Food was very good. Ordered a rib-eye steak that was tough but the manager swapped it for the softest fillet Iâve ever had. Service is excellent. Staff were always on hand to help. Only gripe was the smoking allowed on the terrace. You can play whatever music you like from their selection of LPâs! Younger ones you can Google that to see what those were
