What a treat before and after the levada hike. Coffee shop is right by the start and finish of the levada. They sell sandwiches and cakes and hot food. We treated ourselves to a cake on return and all the cakes are homemade. Recommend the passion fruit cheesecake. Coffee is good but they specialise in hot chocolates of many wonderful varieties. A real little gem and staff are really friendly. You're also able to park on the forecourt and leave your car whilst walking the levada.

We had a coffee and traditional custard tart, not the best. But for two coffee's and two custard tarts â¬7 overpriced.

Great view of the Village of São Jorge. 5 star service and sympathy, owner very kind and helpful with amazing traditional homemade food, cakes and some yummy special tea
Passing through Faial, we remembered this bar from a visit many years ago, so we stopped for lunch. It was just as we remembered it. A little bar with dark rooms but a lovely terrace with fantastic views overlooking valleys and mountains. We had huge rolls filled with ham salad and chicken salad which were fresh and tasty. The price was slightly more than similar establishments, but we assumed we were paying the little extra for the view from the terrace.
