From the moment you arrive the staff are warm and welcoming ... Every table was full but we still receieved very attentive service all evening.Starters were tiger Prawns then followed Beef Wellington all superb with the Beef medium rare as ordered ...White and red were topped up throughout the meal as per the concept inclusive menu!Desserts were a delight to look at and eat ... Having read previous reviews we were very keen to try this restaurant, in addition to that we had just joined Fork by Trip Advisor and received a 30 % discount when booking on line.The food was presented well however the french onion soup lacked depth of taste. I ordered wine by the glass and my husband a beer, we were not offered top ups at all through the evening and in fact found it very hard to get anyoneâs attention to order so gave up. Nobody approached us to confirm our food was okay for us.We found it really offensive that other tables were receiving tops ups without asking.When it came to the end of the meal however, up selling was obviously more important than bring us the bill, which when it eventually..... arrived was incorrect, that was quickly remedied though. Violinist was very good and engaging, however PLEASE change your cd, after hearing The Hills are alive with the Sound of Music 4 times in one evening it is just too much for a person to bear.Even with the discount applied this was the most expensive meal weâve had so far in Funchal. Its all been said already this is a great value concept menu. For 23 euros a head you choose 3 courses of an a la carte menu. The food is beautifully presented, tasty and good quality especially for the price.It includes wine, soft drinks, water and even beer.We chose the red wine which was perfectly palatable.Drinks are topped up as you wish. However i felt sorry for the owner as some British diners took this to the limit and must have drank all his profits for the evening. I'm sure he should charge more or limit the drinks a bit. Check out the pictures of the food. The camera doesn't lie this is what you get.Wishing you every success you deserve it.

Food extraordinary and service is very professional. Very clean place in an old style restaurant. Price very honest. Maybe the best restaurant in all Madeira island. We ate here recently and opted for the â¬13.50 evening meal offer which included an excellent soup or salad, steak with sautéed potatoes and dessert and coffee. Everything was nicely presented and well executed with fresh ingredients and great flavours along with a pleasant host who had a nice sense of humour. Cocktails & wine were also good and reasonably priced. Highly recommended
