We are situated 15 minutes (by car ) from the center of Funchal, more specifically in the Tern Road in front of the Hotel Dom Pedro Garajau in Canico 's Parish . We have a wide range of dishes as we work with two concepts , seafood restaurant and barbecue
This is a very economical restaurant and certainly worth a visit if you are in the area. They have specialist local dishes, particularly the soups of the day, and the fish and seafood dishes are fresh and great. The trouble is, the portion sizes are so generous that you end up leaving lots of food, which I hate to do, and still leave feeling over-full. Maybe the answer is to share dishes with you other half and will still have the energy to walk up the hill afterwards. Staff are very pleasant, although they are not forthcoming with advice, particularly about portions. We came away with our bellies over full and our wallets still quite full. Don't visit more than once on a holiday or you will need to go on a drastic diet when you get home.

We had heard about Lillyâs from a previous trip but had been unable to fit it into our itinerary! Big mistake!!!The restaurant is extremely relaxing very flexible and the food is outstanding! Do try the pre meal madeira wine - dry - it is a delight. We had the calamari, octopus for starters and the filet with mushrooms and RV for mains. Each were superb and the Alvarihno wine with it made our day! Thank you veru much for the comment, we are really pleased for your presence, customers are the reason for our door to be open, see you again, Thank you from all Lily´s team

Restaurante de comida regional da madeira, pequeno e acolhedor com boa localização junto à praça central da cidade, serve refeições durante todo o dia da 12 horas ás 24 horas e serviço de cafetaria e snacks, boa relação preço qualidade.
The menu was quite basic but food was tasty and portions of a good size. Some items lost in translation a little on the menu perhaps?! My husband ordered the âsteak sandwich on a plateâ and got steak, egg and chips (on a plate!) Prices were very reasonable and location next to the church pleasant. Only one waiter serving, so service was rather slow.

Santa Cruz is a delightful small town and we enjoyed walking around for awhile. Stopped here for lunch, with outside dining off a small public square. Friendly service, and a good menu. We shared a Polvo Frito, as servings are very large. Along with local beer and fresh juices, it was a great lunch, and exceeded our expectations.

We inform that we will be closed during the month of MAY for maintenance and expansion of our space. We will reopen in June with great news. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Very good place to grab a plate of tapas to share while sitting on the outside.Chopped scabbard fish for â¬12.00 and a beer were also just fine.Note that this place does not have deserts on the menu. Tapas, toasts, sandwiches, seafood and meat are on offer. They are closed on Mondays and place gets really crowded at 19:00.

Stopped by here by chance passing through Santa Cruz. We had a great meal, really reasonably priced, with swift and friendly service. The boys were happy with the food (and the free WiFi!) and my husband and I were very happy with the food, cleanliness and atmosphere. Added bonus of a complimentary glass of Madeira. Cannot find fault here.

Why this place is no longer No 1 in Funchal totally escapes me. I can only believe that other places have a load of âfriends â posting on their behalf. Not the cheapest but the food is exquisite, the service superb and the ambience fabulous. We eat here every year when we come to Madeira and the quality remains as high as ever.

Firstly a very nice looking restaurant and has been renovated to high standard.Visited the restaurant with my wife while on our holidays to Funchal. We are generally easily pleased and don't need to complain very often.......but we ordered garlic bread to share to start and it arrived untoasted, cold and butter not melted. That was changed and the replacement was toasted, hot and tasted nice. We had a bad feeling at this point that our main course might be disappointing, and we were correct. We both ordered T bone steak, mine medium but arrived rare, and my wifes was also under cooked. I embarrassingly explained to the waiter and he took the steaks away with apologies and had them cooked as we had ordered them. The same steaks returned 5mins later, but unfortunately they were really tough, my wife managed to eat most of hers, mine was not palatable. I've never returned a steak before and had it cooked twice so not sure if that was the reason why it was so tough. So unfortunately a poor experience for us, especially as we were very much looking forward to the evening. Goes without saying we won't be returning.
