We visited Restaurante Martucci after seeing several excellent feedbacks on TA. Martucci is an excellent eatery with a very capable crew and exceptional food. Our visit became a very good experience for me and my wife.My wife choosed Salmon tartar with avocado and cucumber (see the picture). I had Shrimp ravioli with crab sauce and basil. Both starters were done to perfection. We also very much enjoyed the wonderful and generous garlic bread we were given after a few minutes. We had the Spesial Consept Menu to 35 EUROS per person, including different wines and so on. We both choosed Fillet Beef which were perfect. For dessert I had Panacotta with mango and black berry. Unforgettable! One of my best desserts ever! My wife's favourite is Tiramisu, and she is determined that this course is a parametre of the chef's skill. The Tiramisu at Martucci was her best ever! A marvelous evening! We were lucky to visit Martucci om our second day at Madeira-holiday. We will come back in a few days, for this restaurant is well worth visiting. One of the best in Funchal without doubt!Hi Mr. Jodex. Thanks for your wonderful comment. We are very pleased with your rating and look forward to your visit! We fight for the satisfaction of our customers and it is a pleasure to see you satisfied. The best for you.

We had dinner on the terrace while the sun was slowly going down. Some graliec bread as starter, followed by chicken on the spit and fish with banana; both portions were huge. As side dish we shared one large portion of fries and one large portion of mixed salad. Both sides were plenty for the two of us to share. Service was friendly, prices reasonable.

Just returned from five nights on Madeira. Loved this hotel (and its mother hotel) in Ponta do Sol. Modern, stylish, quirky, dramatic all are fair descriptions of this place. It's also located in the nicest village that we visited in Madeira and the X factor has to be the sunsets! Totally fantastic. Both hotels serve delicious food, service is friendly and helpful...we loved our stay. 10/10!

When you have seen and done the tourist traps on the sea front and the restaurants "With a View", you could move to the back streets and hidden shopping alleys.. Result: Usually better food at half the price. Pizzaria "A Chave" is the key (pun intended) to this approach. Frequented mostly by locals it offers excellent food and drinks. Generous portions are served. I visit regularly and choose from the main courses. I have not yet tried the pizza's. Not all the staff speak English, but hey, that's part of the charm when abroad... The menus are also in English. Service is prompt and efficient. For a main course, glass of wine and a coffee, you will be hard pushed to spend more than ⬠10.- GREAT PLACE!

The service was great. The waiter was very friendly. I had red snapper and my husband had sea spaghetti. The snapper was very fresh and well cooked. Unfortunately the vegetables were over cooked. The sea spaghetti was a massive and could have easily fed two people. The taste was amazing. The secret ingredient was Madeira wine. Good value for money

We are a beautiful and cosy restaurant located right in the center of Ponta do Sol, Madeira. With a variety of typical Portuguese and Italian food which can be complemented with good wines or delicious cocktails. Our top chefs and award winning mixologist
The mixed brochette contained some raw chicken and the carbonara contained onions, which it shouldnât. As we were the only ones inside, we were monitored very closely which did not make us feel very comfortable.

The Old Pharmacy,a place were you can find the best of portuguese art and taste. We can find portuguese souvenirs, teas, wines and tapas of the highest quality.
Streetside eating at it's very best. When the holidaymakers go home this is one of those lovely, slightly off the beaten track, cafes that isnt crammed with visitors. Food is great, mixed tapas, gorgeous brownies for dessert with perfect ice cream, Its not the cheapest of eateries but then I want goods service, great food and a local environment and this ticks all the boxes.

Situated in an elevated position at the end of the beach, the restaurant has an unbeatable view on the beach and the village (especially from the small terrace). Menu is typical Maderian. Our fish (parrot) and squids were good. Service was efficient but not smily. Prices were reasonable for the fish of the day and slightly above average otherwise. Overall a good choice.

We asked for local specials and got the limpas (a mollusk type shellfish) and the shrimp- both of which were very good. Along with green wine it was a perfect afternoon repast by the sea I one of the more western towns of Madeira. The church is Early 1900âs but still beautiful. Not much to see but enjoy the beautiful views here and to get here - one of the many beautiful stops along the coast in Madeira.

Absolutely wonderful fresh food, expertly cooked and presented! Great views! The best (and most!) tuna I have ever had. Octopus and squid skewers were so good. Lovely, friendly staff. Having read the bad reviews, I find it hard to believe itâs the same restaurant. Weâll be back; a gem!
