Traveling through on our way home from several days in Missouri on the Katy Trail.
We needed a quick bite, the weather was closing in so we found this place and were quite surprised. We didn't know it was COMPLETELY VEGAN, not our usual fare, ( we are dyed in the wool carnivores ). I ordered their sweet hot Brussels sprouts and my wife had a Pig Mind burger, we shared some hummus of the day too. Both the beers were good and the food was excellent, though I did miss that edge that you only get with meat grilled at high temperatures.
We would definetly come back if we were nearby, just for something different, oh, and did I mention the beers were good ?

I went here around 8:30 am only to find a line out the door. I stood in line for about 5 minutes and the line never moved. Thus, I left. We passed by again and it was crowded once again with the line barely moving. There was no drive thru either. They need to work on speed.

This bakery is without a doubt the best bakery in the Rockford area. Not only is it great for cookies, cakes, and donuts, but it also provides treats for pets AND does cakes for weddings and other special occasions. It's been around for years and we hope it continues to be!
My daughter and I both had our wedding cakes made here. We also had special cupcakes made for her baby shower. She recently had a cake made for a wedding shower for her girlfriend. I still remember the Christmas cake we ordered when my daughter was a little girl that had snowflakes decorating the cake made out of spun sugar! All tasted FABULOUS!
My husband loves donuts so we have one at least once a week for breakfast. We usually go here because the donuts are so WONDERFUL! I always have the "puddin' donut", i.e. the Bavarian cream-filled Bismark with chocolate frosting (TO DIE FOR) and my husband usually has a "junky donut" like the Chop Suey. We also have a small cup of coffee (more like medium) with one of several selections of cream or a dairy creamer.
The place is always decorated "to the nines" and there are always lots of theme-related items such as birthdays, holidays or sports. The place is also inexpensive. For the 2 delicious generous donuts mentioned above and 2 cups of coffee, it's a little over $5.
There are several tables in the bakery to sit and have your donut. They are usually filled in the morning with locals enjoying a visit. If you've never been here, you're really missing a treat!

This is a great place for food variety and fries! We love their cheese fries and sweet potato waffle fries. Service can be a bit slow but at least that means they are cooking your food as you wait! Wish they had better desserts though.

Sat at the bar for a solo lunch. Bartender was friendly and efficient. Helpful in explaining some entree choices. Chain restaurant food can sometimes be so-so. But my dual choice Mexican beef tostada and enchilada were good. A nice added touch was a slice of avocado without incurring an up charge. Only picky complaint was the tostada was half cold. Half warm. A more consistent heating procedure would have made this review a five. But again quick tasty and a good value

Stopped by Gill's Diner after church and found the restaurant to be packed. There were 3 party's ahead of us, but got seated very quickly. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Our order was taken quickly and served in a reasonable amount of time. Food was very good, price reasonable, and service excellent. We plan on returning often.

The 3-B's is a great hometown Breakfast & Brunch Restaurant. They have a good variety on their breakfast menu that you can order from any time. You can have breakfast for lunch! They also have a good variety of tasty sandwiches, burgers, wraps and salads. The burgers and patty melts have a generous portion of meat. You will NOT go home hungry! Very affordable food with a hometown atmosphere!

We were looking for a nice place to go or xmas eve for dinner-this place on Riverside happened to be open-we have had pizza at the sams in rockton which is very good, but this restaurant has a nice cozy bar and eating area-I normally don't get steaks because no one compares to my husbands ribeye, but hands down-I ordered medium & it was so juicy & tasty-I then had salad/bread & the pasta, everything was wonderful & the service was great-owner even came to ask how it was-I promised him a review because honest I am! Can hardly wait to go back!!

I am glad that my sister and I stopped here on a trip to Rockford because the food was very tasty and fresh. We both had a chicken breast with seasoning (chipotle for me and garlic blend for my sister) and a double serving of vegetables which included golden beets (unique and yummy), broccoli, green beans, and shredded Brussel sprouts. Our waitress Sherry was vey friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs, we both recommend.

This is our favorite local pizza place... has excellent pizza, great flavor and seasoning, great toppings, good prices, and always friendly on the phone. The dining area is tiny, but we always do take out or delivery. Highly highly highly recommend.
