Excellent location, close to the centre and just across the road from the seafront. Clean, comfortable, well presented, good selection of drinks and great food but the best part of this hotel has to be its staff, all of whom are exceptional but afew who deserve a mention are, Tom, James & Harrison. We stayed on a family trip and everyone went over and above to help and make us feel welcome, especially as we had a member of family who had had an accident and needed assistance, they couldn’t do enough for us so thank you.

Once we negotiated the poorly laid out tiny car park,we checked in to the bar doubling as reception our room was clean ,but pokie and a view of a brick wall gave the feeling of a prison cell, when on business i have sometimes had to use travel lodge ,this venue fits comfortably in the category below them one view of the feeble breakfast offering made us try else where, it's no wonder this place had the only availability in the whole of st annes I suggest you keep looking @ £140 a night you'll get a lot better value

Had a last minute 1 night stay over jubilee Bank Holiday. A lovely hotel in a very old building, very nicely modernised inside. Some great pictures of the hotel in years gone by. We had a lovely room (115) a big room with large comfy bed, walk in wardrobe and bathroom with a good shower. Very nice seating areas and a well stocked bar. Breakfast was excellent. Good choice of cereals and fresh fruits/yoghurt, and a great cooked breakfast. Staff all very nice and friendly. Also, a free car park, although not a lot of room on there. I got the last space when we arrived. I thought it was a good price on booking, though I was told it had been a mistake and was the single occupancy price I paid, lucky us ! Though it is well worth the normal price. Many thanks.

I stayed with my two young sons at Howarth House over the Jubilee Bank Holiday. I had a double bed and adjacent to this was a bunk bed for my sons. The decor was nice, each room had a TV and the beds were comfy. The rooms were cleaned and were cleaned/tidied daily. A hairdryer and complimentary toiletries were included. Tea and coffee provided in the room. The bathroom had a bath and shower and the towels were lovely and soft. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of cereal, fruit, croissants or a full english breakfast. Juice, tea and coffee were offered. A lovely stay. The owners have dogs which were gorgeous. Howarth House is beautiful, and very close to the local attractions (beach, cinema, pool, arcades, pier etc). Would love to stay again.

Stayed here many times but this last stay was disappointing to say the least, checking in was a nightmare with one member of staff blatantly lying, room was far too hot and noisy. Communal Areas were dirty and full of litter

Stayed for 2 nights over half term holidays in a family suite. Separate twin room off the huge double room with a large shared roof top balcony. Room very clean and comfortable. Great location in the town and next to the beach. Entertainment and activities all aimed for younger kids but our older children used the hotel pool with days out at the pleasure Beach and Sandcastle water park. Only short bus journey into Blackpool. Breakfast - food and service all amazing. Would definitely return. Only downside - ladies changing rooms in the pool were filthy. Clearly not being cleaned during the day.

Great location, nice breakfast. Restaurant staff very pleasant and helpful and polite. Receptionist needs to be taught customer service and how to do her job, very sarcastic forgot to log our late check out, extremely rude. On the other hand young man on reception was nice and helpful on check in.

It's not difficult to see why this accommodation is so highly rated, it is amazing. We stayed as a couple for 4 nights in a studio apartment on the second floor (number 6) and I seriously cannot fault it. It was immaculate, spotlessly clean, very thick white fluffy towels in the bathroom. It was beautifully decorated and had the feel of a boutique hotel, without the price tag. When we arrived there was a bowl of fruit, filtered water, tea, coffee and milk waiting for us. There was a great coffee machine too. Our towels were changed after 2 days ( we didn't request this) and the tea, coffee and biscuits were stocked up too. Such lovely touches. We didn't cook in the room, but it was very well equipped if we had wanted too. The ensure bathroom was lovely. Plenty of plug sockets in the room, although one closer to the mirror for the (provided) hairdryer would be even better. There was even a little entrance hallway with an iron and ironing board. Just perfect. We had a problem with access on our last night, but a phone call soon sorted that out. The accommodation is very central to St Anns bars and restaurants, and only a short walk from the train station. ( some car parking spaces outside if you drive there) We had a lovely time and will definitely return, but we will probably book a larger apartment, as the fridge woke me up some nights, but I am a light sleeper and it was a studio apartment after all. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough, just hope we can return soon. Thanks to Sweet Suites for such an enjoyable stay.
