I heard and read that Chez Antonio was one of the finest places to eat fresh seafood in Lyon. The premises are within the Les Halles Paul Bocuse market, a fascinating culinary destination in itself, and has a casual ambience with no airs and graces. It is simply a purvey of fresh seafood, simply prepared and delicious. Especially if you like oysters. Menu is concise. Donât expect to many accompaniments to the dishes. Itâs all about the seafood of the day. Great and helpful friendly staff.Thank you for this nice comment ! You're right, we are all about seafood ! We hope to welcome you back soon !

Le Comptoir des cousins is serving you fresh and local market cuisine every day for lunch. In the evening, you will discover authentic food from other lands, to share with your friends and loved ones.
Maybe I was expecting too much after reading the excellent reviews, but I was disappointed with the food throughout our evening. We went for an early dinner. Reception and service were both unbeatable. Warm, welcoming and efficient, throughout the evening. Very nice vibe, comfortable seats, and good acoustics, making conversation easy. Management was attentive all evening, always enquiring if everything was good. Well, it was good, and definitely not bad enough to complain. Given the warmth of our welcome, it felt somehow churlish to complain about the finer points of the dishes. The trout ceviche was clumsily cut, with very unevenly sized pieces. I had expressed reservations about using trout for ceviche when ordering, but was convinced otherwise. Mistake. The sauce was too heavy with citrus, as well as being overly watery. The fish tartare consisted of chopped-up pieces that were a tad big, with a fairly bland taste, while the octopus was okay, but only okay. Spices did not zing. The corn cakes we expected when ordering humitas turned out to be a rather pedestrian corn mash. And the dessert of deconstructed lemon meringue tart was overly sweet. We have had far better offerings from restaurants elsewhere, that serve a similarly constructed tapas menu. I wish I could give the restaurant a higher rating, but the food just isn't good enough. In summary, management and service is of the highest order, but the food, although not bad, does not deliver what the description promises. In spite of this, we had an enjoyable evening, and would recommend the restaurant, as long as your expectations of the food are not unrealistically high.

We were looking for a French meal before leaving France and chose the best restaurant for this experience. We enjoyed the taster, our starters and mains. The meals were so plentiful we had no room for desert. Even better each plate of food was delightful- between us we had the seafood salad, caprese, beef stroganoff and duck breast. The meats were cooked to perfection, just a little pink and oh so tender. Wait staff on the ball but not pushy made for a very pleasant evening.

What a lovely, interesting, surprising meal...fantastic ingredients, expertly cooked.... well deserved first spot...highly recommend a visit..Had the six courses, with matched wine....well worth it..not to much food, not to little...my only suggestion is to keep the wine coming...making people wait with empty glasses...Thank you Carmen for your feedback, highly appreciated ! We're pleased to read that you enjoyed your experience at La Mutinerie. Concerning wine pairing, we understand your point of view, it's always a big deal to decide rather to fill your glass up with the wine that follows and matches the next meal when it is not ready to be served, because we're afraid you won't have any wine left to pair it with the meal... But we'll work on that for sure !Hope to welcome you again soon, Best regards,

We loved our evening at Danton. The host was welcoming and eager to explain the dishes to us. Choices are limited but everything we had was stunning and mouthwatering. The beef was perfect. The guinea fowl served with celeriac was in an incredible sauce. The wines by the glass were numerous and the desserts! I would return in a heartbeat. It is not far from the Lyon Part Dieu station. Reservations are a must. Iâll be back!

This restaurant was amazing. The atmosphere, the waiter, and the food were all beyond excellent. We had the four course tasting menu with wine pairing, and were thrilled with each course. The area is not your traditional touristy area, but do not be put off by that. The food and wine are outstanding!

We looked up this restaurant on TA and decided to pay it visit which was a stroll away from our hotel. The setting is essentially in a shopping centre which may put some people off but don't let that happen. The young lady serving us was very pleasant good at explaining the menu. The food served was simply excuisite and very good value for money. The restaurant is only open on two evenings per week so ensure that you get your dates in line with this.

At the end of a long day this was a move reprieve The service was excellent the food simple but well prepared and tasted excellent The wine selection was great and matched the food exactly I had the tuna with vegetables very good simple the ingredients were left to do the talking raged than any heavy sauces My only complaint the creme brûlée , there was no crack on the caramelised sugar top and average one reallyDear guest,Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. What a pleasure to read all these compliments! I am truly glad to share your review with our Chef Laurent Lecompte and his team who are very touched to receive such high praise. He is proud to work with fresh and local products. We even own our vegetables garden, in collaboration with Lyon Metropolis and two others companies. The menu changes almost on a daily basis depending on what's available and the table set warns you thatthe food is not gluten-free, nut-free, taste-free... This is French cuisine like it's supposed to be. Heart-warming and fulfilling your every needs. I loved it and I have recommended it ever since.
