The Serenity Spa is located on beautiful Darling Hill on the Kingdom Trails system. Kingdom Trails offers mountain biking, winter biking, snow-shoeing, cross country traditional and skate skiing. We are also 3 miles from Burke Mountain, a four season resort offering downhill skiing and mountain biking. Access to the VAST system is across the street. Willoughby Lake (in the GAP) is 15 minutes away. We offer a wide range of spa services including massage, dry saunas, hot tub, and yoga. Our cafe services spa guests with small snacks and wine and beer.
It's true. The Kingdom Trials are a mountain biking paradise and the Steeping Stones inn is serenity right in the middle of it. We spent 3 nights there this October and haven't felt more welcome or at home anywhere. The common kitchen and dining area is as practical as it is beautiful. Who doesn't enjoy a morning cup of coffee watching belted galloways graze out the window and sharing ideas for the new day of riding. The refrigerator is huge so there's plenty of room for food and beverages. The Spa was not open during our stay but we sure enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after days of biking. Grill, fire pit and both indoor and out door dining areas make this an ideal social space. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the beds are oh so comfortable.

Very clean, comfy, quiet, yummy breakfasts, and welcoming hosts. It was our first visit to the area and it will be our go-to accommodations for future visits to family who live in the area. I only have two very minor quibbles: some darker window coverings so the early morning summer light doesn't wake us up, and a 10% reduction in Tchotchkes would bring a better balance between elegance and homeyness, but like I said, this is only a minor quibble. Oh, and the price is very fair as well.

The Lynburke Lodge & Motel, which has been recently renovated and updated, is clean, comfortable and economical. Our friendly staff will make you feel right at home! In summer, the in-ground pool, along side an authentic antique covered bridge, is the perfect way start your day, or to unwind and refresh at the end of the day. Complimentary morning coffee is available in the office, and a lovely family restaurant, the Valley View Restaurant and Tavern, just across the street offers a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner.
No phone in the room. Curtains on the window were not passable--Looked like thin sheets that had been torn to fit the window. large 3 cornered tear in one side. This window looks out onto a nearby road and house. Definitely needs updating and/or a good cleaning. Bathroom sink with several cracks in the bowl. Desk person friendly. Offered continental breakfast which isn't listed. Snowmobiler "convention" in town. They traveled right under the air conditioner that was still in the window, located at the head of the bed.

This place is Vermont turned up to 11. Located in Lyndonville, it's stunningly beautiful but not yet overdeveloped or overrun by tourism like Stowe. Still plenty of local dining and little shops, just not overwhelmed. The gardens are perfectly taken care of, the service is wonderful, the views are a postcard, and the attention to detail is outstanding. They address so many little touches that add up to a terrific overall experience. Things like fresh cookies and hot cider in the afternoon (GF available by request!), or a basket of warm blankets to grab when sitting outside, or catering to the terrific mountain biking scene in the area ( Kingdom Trails). It's actually more like a mini resort than an inn, with so many activities to do from pickle-ball to tennis to guided bike tours. The rooms are clean, well kept, and comfy and have everything you would want. You won't find marble in the bathrooms or the type of luxury finishes in a Ritz-Carlton, but it's not missed and not necessary. Be aware- no TV in the rooms, on purpose, but WiFi is strong. The on-site dining at Junipers is fantastic (breakfast included) and has a focus on gluten free with locally sourced meats and veggies, many of which are from the inn's farm and garden (eggs from their own hens!). The Pokeessy Lounge on-site bar is great with a ton of local craft beers and house made cocktails with a nice outdoor area and great views. Good place to bring kids as well with a nice pool, playground, games, and tons of grounds to run around on. It's everything you love about Vermont, all in one place. We will be back, again and again!
