Located on the Bluffwalk in historic downtown Lynchburg, Virginia, Shoemakers American Grille offers fine cuisine in an upscale industrial setting. Its shoe themed rooms and décor reflect Lynchburg’s rich history in the early 1900’s as the mecca for all things shoes and tobacco.

Eclectic tequila bar serving simple fresh tacos. Located in the heart of downtown Lynchburg! Walk into a restored and repurposed garage, and enjoy a unique dining experience with an open kitchen, friendly bar service, and plenty of deck and patio seating. Our well stocked bar boasts 85 tequilas available in short or long pours.
We particularly enjoyed the selection of items and the unique methods of blending citrus and cilantro into your dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience her and will recommend this to others for a unique taste of Mexican cuisine.
This is not your Taco Bell junk; this is excellence in culinary preparation and presentation of Hispanic foods.
$$$ but worth every penny. Though we are not drinkers, the drinks looked equally as appealing.
Share this experience with your friends if you want a great night out!

Everything about Ploughcroft makes you feel as you're in England.
The owner, she's from England, and just hospitable, she's fantastic.
If you're in Lynchburg, this is a MUST! I like getting a full English tea experience, but also going for just tea and biscuits.

Excellent food. Loved the oysters. The inside has reclaimed church pews. Our table was lined with beautiful butcher paper, with varies color crayons. Nice couples restaurant. Also loved the Davey Crocket knife, they gave you to cut. Not a good place to bring your Ex.
The parking sucks if its cold and raining.

Market at Main serves breakfast all day and was recently named the Best Breakfast in Lynchburg by Lynchburg Living.
Market at Main is found in an 1800s building that was restored to period century looks with today's modern essentials. Here you are going to get good ole Virginia home cooked comfort food. We were there on Sunday after church and the temp was 19 degrees. This place was packed. They were able to help my wife who needs to eat gluten free. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu. Prices were fair for the portions you get. My kids had the fried green tomato blt. I had a homemade chicken salad sandwich. My wife went for breakfast...eggs. the kids and I shared pimento cheese covered French fries. Like I said, comfort food.

Checked out this place while visiting my son and his girlfriend at college. Close to Liberty Univ campus. Had the ribeye, and being from Nebraska, I was hesitant to even find out how Virginia does steaks...I was pleasantly surprised how well it was cooked to my liking and its nice flavor. Green beans were very good...sautéed nicely. Good Bloody Mary as well. Service left much to be desired. Server was quite soft spoken, and on a Sat night, the place was packed, so he was hard to hear. Not very attentive to our beverage needs and we had to ask for bread (after noticing everyone else had it). Probably will find a new place on next visit...overall, not impressed.

We had an early reservation on Sat night and were seated immediately. The restaurant was very busy and there was a waiting line. Our server was prompt and efficient. We had one of Neighbors specialties, fried shrimp, and a cajun seafood dish. All were great! The menu is very large, so there is something for everyone.
