I used to enjoy eating at this restaurant when I was younger because their dishes are at par with top Chinese restaurants in Ongpin in terms of taste but their prices are more affordable. But the last few years, their food don't taste as good as it used to because their head chefs are being replaced frequently and their menu prices are a bit more pricey while their serving size was slightly reduced. Occasionally, I encountered fish bones still attached to the fish fillet which is very dangerous if you accidentally swallowed it as it might cause internal bleeding or choking. I brought that to the attention of the waiters and manager but they just shrug it off. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend anyone to eat here at all. It's just not worth it. It would be better to try other Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. CAVEAT EMPTOR.

We have tried four branches of this restaurant and noticed that the food is consistent in all four. Our favorites are the crystal prawn ball with Chinese bagoong, steamed fish with garlic, beef brisket, spinach soup and yang chow. We have also ordered some of the many dishes they offer and we were never sorry for any of them. They also offer sweet peanut with sesame seed while waiting for your order. Most orders come right away except the steamed fish. Price is relatively cheap although we noticed a slight increase lately. Since the branches are all located beside Puregold, parking is never a w. Like most Chinese restaurants, servers are always on the look out for anything you may need.
We ate here a long time ago. Crew served stale rice which ruined the meal. The dishes were great, almost close to a chinese food. 15 minutes later, we saw the crew having their dinner as well on a nearby table and they have really nice steaming rice, fresh from the rice cooker. That's the reason we never went back to this resto. it's a shame. I wish the owner knew about it.

My siblings like the vegan snacks that I bring home for them. Their favorite in particular is the chocolate mochi. Only one vegan hopia variety. Their tikoy is also vegan.
When I dine in restaurants, I always consider these things: taste of food (including authenticity), cleanliness, service, and price. Mandarin Sky offers tasty authentic Chinese dishes but lacks good service. Itâs somehow clean considering the place was full. Food is a bit pricey.
