Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Manila. Metropolitan Manila encompasses six cities and 12 towns. Located on Manila Bay in the South China Sea, and bisected by the Pasig River, the capital of the Philippines is historic and modern, rich and poor. A popular sight is the walled area called Intramuros. The capital during Spanish colonization, Intramuros has retained old dungeons and gunpowder rooms but added art galleries and theaters. The city is filled with museums, shops, parks and churches, plus enough nightlife to last until dawn.

Shawarma Snack Center is a great place to eat Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food. It has a large outdoor seating area that includes an open air kitchen but also has inside air conditioned seating with upstairs too. When I arrived at 6:00pm on a Saturday evening, there were no seats anywhere. I returned at 7:00pm and got a seat despite it still being congested. Service was fair at my table although it appeared I could have ordered from a counter and them taken a seat to await my food. I ordered the vegetarian combination plate that had hummus, carrots, pickles, a cheese dish, falafel, baba ganoush(eggplant) and served with pita. It was great and portions were generous. I also got a small bowl of olives which were numerous and delicious. Total cost was a very reasonable 370 pesos (about US$6.75) The menu was multi-paged so pretty much anything you want will be found. The place was remarkably clean and sanitary.

Since 1995, Casa Armas has been serving Manila with the finest and most authentic Spanish Food. Our menu offers a wide variety of Tapas, Paellas, Cochinillos and a long list of choices to truly enjoy a taste of Spain right in the heart of Manila.
The outside and indeed interior need a little attention but the food and especially the service was outstanding. The portions are rather small but the taste excellent. We enjoyed a very leisurely dinner chatting with the personable waiters. All in all a memorable meal. A wandering guitarist serenaded.

Popped in for a drink, nice layout on the roof of SM Aura mall, had a clear cider which was sweet but nice change from lager, the menu looked nice but didn't eat and lots of wine available.
