This is where we had our buffet breakfast. Tucked in the 3 star Mercure hotel , the place was everything for the nice atmosphere of a dining experience. Too sad though , the breakfast was really bad. I mean really disgusting. Limited choices in the selection , yet staff manning the egg station was not visible . Ham choices felt overloaded with MSG. Not many courses , yet they offer chicken feet ? Felt like left overs of chicken meals they serve the past few days. Pancakes are not soft and fluffy. I mean for 950 pesos. Definitely not worth it. Funny thing , we were there last evening , at barely 9 pm ( they close at 10 pm) . We asked the waiter if they are still open. Yes he said. But no one even attended to us while we were just standing there. And they had a note, open toe sandals not allowed . But I saw one guy at the breakfast area wearing flip flops. Tsk tsk. That is what you call discipline. Dear guest,First, we would like to extend our apologies with regards to your breakfast experience and for the incident during dinner time at our restaurant, as we always aim to cater to our guests to the best of our abilities. Rest assured that these matters will be raised for discussion to the management for necessary investigation and appropriate actions. We appreciate that you have sent us an honest feedback, as this is very important for us to gauge and manage our services to improve the quality of guest experiences. We do hope that you'd still consider our hotel next time, and surely have a better stay than the last one. Thank you.

We visited the restaurant around 7:30 pm. There were plenty of seat, but turned crowded later on. The food were well served- Asian, Western, and local food were available. However, the taste were not meeting our expectation. The variety of drink was limited as well. The ambient of the restaurant was good, but when the number of guests increased, the whole place became stuffy. The cooking activity made the condition even worse.Although the service were good (with free unplugged live music performance), we personally think that it was not worth the money spent.

I have tried this restaurant at Capitol Commons before, but this was the first time for me to try their breakfast. Their breakfast menu has wide selection of dishes. My friend and I tried their daing na bangus which came with garlic rice, fried egg and a small portion of their home made achara. Food was good and service was fast. Tiolet was very clean. Prices are moderately high.

For Children? hhhmmmm maybe, but will not be appreciated. Its a somewhat unique food style. So it has its best market still.

I liked the decor. Like you were eating at a friend's home. The Filipino dishes were prepared well. It was like home cooking. My cousin did the ordering and some were dishes I never tried before but they were all so delicious. I know I have to go back next time I visit Manila.

The ambience is cozy, comfortable, appealing to dining families, couples or groups across generations. The servers are as attentive as they can be, but when all tables are occupied, you'd have to wait a bit to be served. The billing out process also took around 20 minutes. One bite of the food, though, and you forgive them anything. Locavore cuisine is intelligent, innovative and downright delicious. The fried fish lumpia with handmade wrappers was exquisite with its crispy/soft texture and hint of salted egg. Basically a flavor explosion. It came with vinegar dipping sauce and lettuce leaves you could wrap the lumpia in.Boneless Fried Chicken - hint of sweet soy flavor, super light yet crispy batter. It came with a sparse amount of cheese sauce that wasn't really necessary (it was also lumpy).Garlic brown rice - fluffed up brown rice with a mellow punch of garlic perfection. It went well with everything we ordered.Sizzling Sinigang - easily Locavore's signature hit, it is an undeniable, mind blowing, exciting, palate pleaser. So flavorful, that what appeared to be a medium sized serving actually ended up with us having leftovers to take home.I am definitely returning to try the other items on the menu.
