Reviewed By Jonathan BSuch a lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Everything was spectacularly clean!!! A great job by the house keeping team. The rooms and bathrooms were nice and spacious, ours even had a full size bath. They provided a cot for our one year old daughter as requested. Our room was on the front near the main road, but the windows did a fantastic job of blocking out the noise and the air con kept the room nice and cool. There was a lift to the make journey up to our room with the pram effortless. Breakfast was fresh and varied. Pancakes, yogurts, salad, fresh orange juice, bacon, eggs, sausages etc. There was also restaurant in the same building which was consistently busy. Next time we are in Luxembourg we will give it a try. We would highly recommend Hotel Pax!!

Many good qualities but one major drawback
Reviewed By periandroIt's a good hotel in all respects except in that concerning peacefulness. The building isn't sound-proof, that's why in the bedrooms one hears all kinds of noise taking place at the hotel, such as door slams, knocks on walls and even the ladies’ noisy walking on her hills anywhere inside on the part of the floor not covered with the carpeting, such as the bathrooms and especially the veranda being a section of the restaurant. That nuisance may become rather disturbing sometimes. The hotel situation is fine, mainly on account of the panorama which can be beheld from the large window of the stated veranda. Huge fields are there within sight where from time to time a flock of sheep comes into sight. It's a very interesting view. Further off, the forest landscape neighbouring those fields is also very nice. The personnel is superb. Everybody is of a extreme kindness so that one feels pampered at any moment. All the waitresses are very helpful, friendly and diligent, particularly Mariana. She is an extraordinary lady possessing a charm and a gracefulness above the average. The fact of talking or dealing with her is a real pleasure. She could be considered as the spine of the hotel, the one playing the crucial role in the hotel business development, thus standing for more that 50 % of its goodwill. The breakfast is good and abundant. All the food available for that meal is of a high quality. The pastry is very tasty as well as the fresh fruit. The menu concerning the other meals which one can have in the same restaurant is very thorough and varied, the choice of different dishes which can be taken is very large and they are all tasty and well cooked. Once I had sea-bream meunier and it was delicious. Likewise the meat is very good, so the fillet I had on October 5th was also fabulous. In order to sum up it can be reiterated that it's a good hotel. It could be very good if it were more peaceful, what could be achieved through sound-proofing the building.

Hotel is nice, room in a way very modern but walls and doors unfortunately are paper thin so you hear everything from the hallway and your neighbours. Luckily, earplugs were provided in the bathroom.

A special highlight of the hotel is its restaurant with fine cuisine in the historic ambience of the old tannery, with vaulted ceilings from the 18th century. Wonderful food, big portions, friendly service. We had again take away today, amazing how constantly good this restaurant is. Looking for a traditional excellent Luxembourgish Restaurant in the Clervaux area, this is it. Real good price/quality value.

Great rooms
Reviewed By Saba AI read reviews on the hotel on Trip Advisor a night before my departure, so I was very nervous. However, I was very pleased with my choice. Yes, the entrance is small and there is no lobby, but I personally don't travel to hang around in the lobby. The reception is not there 24/7 but there are numbers you can call in case of an emergency. The hotel is in a noisy neighbourhood, but I could not hear anything when inside. The rooms are decent size and clean, the beds comfortable, the ACs working. The bathroom and showers are great, there is a hairdryer, and basic toiletries and slippers provided. There are a few super markets, a pharmacy and a wide range of restaurants within walking distance. The main station is also near by (which is not the best place, but I never felt unsafe) which means you can easily catch a bus or train to where ever you want to go. The staff was nice and courteous and spoke fluent English. Overall, I had zero issues.

Reviewed By PdV_on_tourStayed here while passing through, and it was an Excellent Find. Reservation via the site was easy. Check-in was in the main hotel across the street. Efficient and smooth. The B and B across the street has ample private parking. Due to the very quiet covid-time, I think I may have gotten the nicest room (apartment) in the building and it was Excellent. Double bed, lounge-area, kitchenette, large table for eating or work-space. Brilliant wifi (150M up/down, and very stable - I can work there!). Sleep Quality was Excellent, the bedding is of 4-star hotel Quality. Breakfast was an Excellent buffet, and covid-proof: take the plat to your room.. I had requested to be able to work until 10:00, which was nicely respected. Checkout was easy. if any criticism… Take a powerstrip with you (I have..): there are not that many wall-sockets and I had 2 laptops and several gadgets to charge.. But that is a minor detail. I can recommend this B and B for short or longer stays: the wifi was excellent for VPN working.
