Really friendly staff

I stayed at the Ringhotel with colleagues for a few days. We had a really good time. The staff was really friendly, rooms were clean. The breakfast had a good selection and even during lockdown you were able to get something in the restaurant at night. Food was very good but for my hungry colleagues after a long day at work not enough. The Schnitzel had a good amount though. Unfortunately we couldn't try out the spa.

Clean and central

I had a business trip to a customer in this town. I arrive at 22:10 on a Tuesday. There were road works outside the hotel and the whole street was up. I couldn't find where to park so I parked in a side street along from the hotel. The owner/manager let me in when I rang the door bell. There was no food available at the hotel at this time of night and nowhere open in the vicinity to get food other than a MacDonald's (Ugh!) which was a short walk from the hotel. The room was 'functional' not luxurious in any way. The bed was a pair of singles drawn together and very squeaky. The shower room was 'compact' and had clearly been in since the 1970s. An avocado suit complimented by a set of mustard colour towels and a set of brown towels; beige tiles and dimly lit. I think it was clean. The breakfast was extensive although the only hot food on offer was scrambled egg. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would stay here again, but it will not be on my list of 'destination' hotels for the future. I will probably look for an alternative next time I'm in town, however, if the only room available in Lunen is here, I will not fear staying.

Clean and beautiful

I stayed here for a quick one night stay in Lünen. I prefer Gasthaus over large chain hotels. The hotel was easy to book. It was slightly confusing for the cab driver to find, because it’s located in a pedestrian area, but it didn’t take long to sort out. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It was nice to stroll a little through Lünen after check in. The next time that I’m in Lünen this is my hotel.

Last Minute Business Trip to Luenen

Stayed at this hotel for a business trip and whilst it wasnt the best hotel or the poshest hotel in the world, it was perfectly adequate for my needs - it had showers, it had a clean bed, there was free wifi and it had a good breakfast. I found not all the rooms have kettles so do ask about that and there are no ironing facitilies. The art work around the venue made it more appealing to my quirky side - coming out of the first floor lift to see Frankenstein's monster was surreal as was the shrine to Charlie Chaplin. Do take cash to Luenen - most of the restaurants don't take cards So : this is great value for a few nights especially when all you want to do is sleep from 11pm to 6am..
